“Absolute solitude”

We loved our two week stay in this very comfortable home, and although initially a little daunted at navigating the narrow 2km road to reach it, we quickly came to appreciate the solitude it offered. It's hard to explain just how peaceful it is here, no noisy scooters, only the occasional car passing.The boys really enjoyed the pool and we all appreciated the air conditioning in the evening. We often heard and sometimes saw wild boar, even some piglets in the garden early one morning. We really enjoyed the pretty walk along the road and up the hill to Claviers, arriving in the pretty square to enjoy a cold drink and watch the locals. We ventured north to the Gorge du Verdon and enjoyed an afternoon swimming in the lake, contrasting with the drive south to the glamour of St Tropez. There is lots to see and do, the villa provided a clean comfortable base to return to. We would love to return one day.

We do hope you will return - we are planning further improvements to the house, with a bigger children's bedroom and play area, additional ensuite bathroom, terraces and a hot spa - particularly for guests coming out of high season. Response from the owner Thank you for this review - and we promise to keep you, and all our guests, updated on the extension which will start in October 2016 and finish early in 2017, with en suite bathroom facilities added to the 2 main bedrooms, a new childrens' bedroom as well as the hot tub and sauna and further extended terraces and gardens.
