We spent a most enjoyable fortnight at Villa St Lorraine in July and early August this year. The weather was glorious, wall to wall sunshine and hot so we were very glad of the pool to cool off in. The owners of the property were very helpful and friendly and the bungalow was well equipped, clean and convenient. The lounge, but not the whole bungalow, was air conditioned, which did mean that the bedrooms got very warm, (fans would have been useful). Chateauneuf is a good base to explore from both by car and using the local train to Avignon or Isle sur la Sorgue where there was a splendid floating market on the first Sunday in August. The centre of Chateauneuf was a good twenty minutes walk along a main road which meant the morning walk to buy croissants at the bakers was a bit longer than we expected but then some of the lunches we had whilst we were out ,especially the one at Beaume de Venise made up for this!
