The villa itself is quite large and very comfortable. We were only a family of four, but it could easily cater for 8+ people. There is plenty of space outside, with a huge pool and terraces with fantastic views of the surrounding hills and the sea in the distance. The imposing Baou towers over the villa to the rear, but as the villa is south facing, does not block any light.
The location is fantastic, in a really quiet cul-de-sac, which sees very little passing traffic, yet is close enough to the village, that we were able to walk to it every day for fresh bread. There is a nice gas BBQ (or a charcoal one if you're feeling adventurous) in an outside sheltered area, but there are several lovely restaurants in the villa, ranging from rustic pizzeria to fine dining.
Alex and Ed were extremely helpful when we arrived and during our stay. The local area is a mecca for cyclists and Ed was able to offer advice about local routes on quiet roads, even taking me on several spins during our stay. If you enjoy cycling, make sure to bring your bike, because you will regret it otherwise. Also, if you decide to bring your bike, speak to the owners ahead of time, because they may be able to arrange transfer of your bike box from the airport, saving you the necessity of hiring a larger car.
We were very sorry to leave and hope to get back soon.
