The holiday in Neoules was great. The layout of the house, the kitchen, the pool - everything was so good that it was hard to convince my family to leave the house. The village has two really good quality restaurants, one serves an excellent beer (locally brewed belgium beer in Provance - what an unusual idea). Tuesday market in Cotignac (30min drive) is a must with the stop at the Le Thoronet Abbey on the way home.
The Anse de Magaud beach near Toulon is the closest beach (40min drive); the water was surprisingly very cold.We visited the Canyon du Verdon and managed one short walk through the tunnels, unforgettable. This is a whole day trip(1hour 50min drive one way) the route around the canyon is 100km long with magnificent views (tiring for kids).
The knowledge of French language is essential as the host, very friendly and kind lady, speaks French only, the information booklets about the area available in the house are in French as well.
You should bring your bed sheets and towels which we didn't know. Luckily the host lady lent us her sheets and one towel and we manage to buy rest in the near supermarket the following
day.
Overall we had a great week in Provence, really enjoyed the layout of the house.
