Description

THE MAS is the oldest building here at “Mas Saint Antoine”, this 17thC renovated farmhouse including converted outbuildings make up the 7 gites. All are set in 2/3rds of an acre amidst open fields & orchards. Being on the main road between Avignon and St-Remy we are ideally situated for exploring all the best that Provence has to offer with no greater drive than 60mins to see it all. Our grounds have been fully landscaped into various garden themes and include a 12 x 6m swimming pool, summer house, a pond with waterfall, 300 year old olive trees and several secluded seating areas dotted around the grounds.

Sleeping up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, 3 with en-suite WCs, other bedroom has WC in hallway. 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 with morning sun & 2 with all day sun overlooking the shaded outdoor dining & BBQ areas. The 4th bedroom is downstairs receiving some morning sun is the coolest in the summer. The Main bedroom upstairs includes a bath.

The large, recently remodeled open plan kitchen dining area is fully equipped with built in oven, electric hobs, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster, etc and includes a breakfast bar & table seating for up to 14, ideal for larger parties staying on site in the other gites. A separate laundry cupboard includes a washing machine, iron & ironing board complete with detergent. There are outdoor clothe lines.

The large living room with seating for 12 includes 2 couches, daybed & 2 rocking chairs & several tables. The entertainment area features TV, with DVD player, French & English free to air TV channels. The Bose stereo system tunes in French radio & features a 6 stack CD player with a selection of various artists. A separate ipod docking station in the dining area is complete with radio & alarm clock.

All linens and bathroom towels are supplied & included in the rates. Separate pool towels are available on request at no extra charge.

The 4 column stone pergola shades the outside dining table & chairs. A separate patio area alongside contains the gas BBQ & includes 2 bench seats.

The swimming pool and large gardens are shared with the other guests.

At 500m from the village of Rognonas with all its services, you are an easy 10min walk from 4 bakeries, a supermarket, 2 traiteur, 1 boucherie, 2 bars and 2 restaurants and several Pizza takeaways. Rognonas also offers a Post Office, 2 banks with cash machines a Pharmacy & even an intimate Wine Tasting Experience. The thriving heart of Provence, Avignon is a 10-minute drive with simple & easy access to parking buildings. The Avignon TGV Train Station is approx 10mins away.
