Description

La Mesangère is a comfortable villa located in the little village of le Rayol, on a hill with a panoramic view. Le Rayol is well known for les Jardins Mediterraneens, a park with a lot of tropical plants and where you can enjoy some concerts during the summer. The villa has easy access to all amenities including a weekly market, and within a few minutes drive to the main beaches. The main restaurant, le Maurin des Maures has an excellent bouillabaisse and specialities. You can enjoy a relaxing holidays with your private pool and jacuzzi overlooking the islands, and also you can visit the area and go to St Tropez, Bormes les Mimosas, Gassin, Ramatuelle, etc....or you can enjoy all the water sports available in Cavalaire and Cavaliére, including renting a boat for a day, a real treat !

“Nice house with fantastic views!”

We booked the house, La Mesangere, on Holiday Lettings website, www.holidaylettings.co.uk, and got quickly in contact with the owner Nathalie Dupuy. She could offer the house exactly the week spoken for, between 13th and 20th of July 2013. From pictures seen on internet, we were quit exited when we arrived on 13th of July. We were a little bit early, so we leave our luggage in the house, while our hosts did their final preparations. In the meantime we entered the beautiful beach in La Rayol for a refreshing bath, ate a lovely lunch at the beautiful hotel nearby. Afterwords all eight friends were ready to inspect the house. The house was pretty much ok, with two double bedrooms downstairs, combined bath/kitchen including washingmachine and fridge. Upstairs, one double bedroom, toilet and a nice bathroom also equipped with toilet and shower. The extra "bedroom" upstairs turn out to be a part of the livingroom, which could have been mensioned in house description. Anyway, the "bedroom" worked alright for us. Nice kitchen upstairs with "dinningroom". We spent most of the time near the house, using sunbeds and the lovely swimmingpool. Every evning we dine on the 2nd floor balcony. What a lovely view, quite amazing We had various excursions in the neighborhood, including island Porquerolles, about an hour drive past Hyeres. A ferry took us to the island where we hired bicycles. After delicious lunch in the harbor, we rode to several nice beaches. "Car free" island is worth a visit. An other day we spent on the beach in Le Rayol, where sunbeds were available for rental. The beach was a 10 minutes walk from the house. The return took us 20 minutes and after a quite steep uphill walk if was beautiful to dive into the pool. We tried several nice beaches in the area. About 5 km drive to a large supermarket, but also a smaller foodshop in Le Rayol. We had a wonderful week in La Mesangere and it's recommendable to everyone, at least if you have a car!
