Ideally situated in the charming Provencal village of Fayence in the Var department, La Vieille Forge is an authentic, lovingly converted 18th century house that was once the village Smithy (as the horseshoes found around the grounds can attest). Both the house and garden have great charm and are an ideal holiday gateway within easy reach of the beaches of the Côte d'Azur and the stunning foothills of the Southern Alps. The house is light and spacious and comprises 4 large air-conditionned bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 twin). 3 of these have their own en-suite bathroom. The house sleep 8 comfortably but can accommodate up to 10 guests. Unusually for a village house, La Vieille Forge has a private swimming pool and sizeable garden. The house has stunning views over the Esterel Hills and the plain of Fayence. Close to the swimming pool, two ancient “tilleul” lime trees provide a wonderfully shaded area for outdoor meals. The property is situated within walking distance of the village with its supermarkets and shops, and has its own off-road parking for several cars.Nearby attractions include watersports on the Lake St Cassien and the Siagne and Siagnole rivers; golf in the renowned Terre Blanche resort, and world-class gliding at the Fayence Aerodrome. Nothing beats local knowledge and as such should you wish to venture off the beaten track we can arrange an expert local guide (price on application)..
