Detached luxury villa with a huge private swimming pool in a quiet residential area of St-Remy-de-Provence overlooked by Les Alpilles and within easy walking distance of the historic centre and the numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and art galleries. This recently constructed 'Bastide' is in traditional Provencal style and materials and is set in its own private garden. St Remy is well known for its links with Van Gogh and is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and villages of Les Alpilles. Local activities include swimming, tennis, walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, and mountain biking. Nearby attractions include the Camargue, the hill village of Les Baux de Provence and the historic towns of Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence. Local wine, olive oil, cheese and vegetables are sold at the typical provencal market held every Wednesday. St Remy is a 20 minute drive from the TGV station at Avignon and less than an hour from Nimes and Marseilles airports.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for taking the time to make a review and for recommending our villa to your friends. We will certainly have a look at the interior lightning to ensure it is sufficient. There is in fact a nicer way to the town than following the road which is alongside the canal. The water in the pool depend of course of the outside temperature, but during the summer months it normally stays well up in the mid twenties. Kind regards Tormod
