Description
Les Micocouliers is a large (300+ sq m), modernised 19th Century farmhouse, with spacious, cool, light and airy interiors, ceiling fans, white rustic finish walls and terracotta floors. The villa, set in the secluded terraced gardens full of olive trees, has it's own private pool. Close to the village yet totally secluded. Only 230 meters easy walk to Callas village centre, the property has fantastic 20+ miles southerly views over the Var to the coast on a clear day.
The spacious living area, including separate dining room, opens via wide patio doors onto a wide terrace with electric awning. A breakfast bar separates the Californian style kitchen from the living room. A further covered terrace on the lower level offers additional space, perhaps for younger members of the family , a well proportioned games room/second living room (air conditioned) with Table Tennis is included.
Please note: As the property is situated on a hillside it is not especially suitable for children under the approximate age of 10 or the infirm.
The secluded 12x6m swimming pool attracts all day sunshine on its own terrace, well equipped with sun loungers, parasols and table and chairs.
Four of the five spacious bedrooms (3 en suite) have patio doors to a terrace (3 double beds, 2 x twins), Telephone, Broadband enabled PC, BBC/ITV, DVD/video, CD/HiFi. Well equipped kitchen, (Additionally kitchenette in Studio) Gas BBQ. Linen/towels included.

The main living area; Living room, dinining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms , all with direct access to a terrace via patio doors, and 2 bathrooms are located on the upper level. A stairway leads from the dining room downstairs to an airconditioned games room (Table tennis and easy chairs), and superb 2nd bedroom, covered terrace (darts) and acess to the Studio (own kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink and washer/dryer, dining for two and easy chairs ) and en suite shower room with separate wc. Also accessed from the games room is the Bergerie with washing machine.

The villa, built on a south facing hillside, in private 1.5 acres, is set 30 meters back from the road, well separated from neighbouring houses, and approached through a small olive grove. Olive trees abound throughout the terraced garden. The terrace outside the living room and dining room acts as an outdoor living area in summer, equipped with electrically operated awning, large teak dining table and chairs, reclining chairs and a truly magnificent view (see photo) whose peacefulness generates complete relaxation.
The pool, on its own private terrace, is well equipped with plenty of sun loungers, parasols and small table and chairs. The games room and covered terrace below the living room provides cool space (and shelter if it rains) for table tennis and darts. On the same level there is also a separate sitting area for the occupants of the studio or 'the young' as required.
The Villa is situated on the side of a hill, the position which provides the stunning views, but the inevitable terraces and steep slopes in the garden are not recommended for children under 10 or the infirm. (tho' active mid eighties have loved it)

“A complete pleasure to stay somewhere so lovely”
Les Micocouliers has the feel of a well-loved family holiday home and has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay (good quality linen, well-equipped kitchen, etc). The views are awesome and the location is ideal with a short walk to buy the most delicious croissants and bread from the local bakery each morning. We made full use of the good-sized pool (very clean and well-kept) and the table-tennis equipment, which was a big hit with our children. The owners' advice and information was extremely useful – they obviously love their villa, Callas and the surrounding area and want to share the pleasure of being there. A huge thank you to them for a wonderful holiday. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.
“Fabulous villa in perfect location with stunning views”
Our extended family - pensioners to teenager - spent two weeks here in July/August 2014. The villa is spacious, very well maintained, with comfortable bedrooms and large, cool living areas. There are lovely outside shaded spaces and terraces with superb views where we dined most evenings. The pool is large and immaculately maintained. The villa and especially the kitchen are very well-equipped. We found everything we needed to feed and entertain our party of 9. The villa and grounds are very private despite it being just a short walk to the local village for a coffee or meal at one of the restaurants. The owners provide files of useful information and maps about activities and places to visit. The location is great - we took walks from the villa, cycle rides to some of the other hilltop villages, and day trips further afield to Gorges du Verdon and Tourtour, in addition to spending many relaxing hours by the pool. The owners were extremely helpful throughout from offering travel advice and tips on places to stay en route to providing essential BBQ supplies for our arrival evening. We hope to return soon and would strongly recommend this property to others.
