Our expectations were pretty high as the photos on the website were so good however these were more than met when we arrived at the house and were shown around by the delightful caretaker, Sylvie, who made us very welcome. This lovely house is very attractively located, in a huge garden amongst woodlands, so very private and with plenty of good walking available - great for us as we had a dog with us. We loved the provencal style of furnishing from the eclectic mix of antique furniture, wonderful fabrics, interesting pictures, books and artefacts, to the most luxurious bedlinen and towels. The house is extremely spacious, well appointed and above all comfortable. As we were there in late November, although the evenings weren't cold we really appreciated lighting the fire in the magnificent fireplace The kitchen is excellent and amazingly well equipped for a holiday rental, not least with masses of lovely provencal crockery. All in all we felt as though we were guests in someone's treasured country home. With a pool and table tennis, (in season), a cupboard full of games, bikes, and no less than two pianos available for guests, this is a wonderful place for families of all ages.
We only booked for a week but in that time visited Avignon, Pont du Gard, Fontaine de Vaucleuse, Gordes, St Remy de Provence, Chateauneuf du Papes, Arles, the Camargue and St Marie de la Mer, and Aigues Mortes all of which were within reasonably easy reach, fascinating and different in their own way.
My conversations with the owner, Florence, who spoke extremely good english, were always very helpful and enjoyable and we very much hope to go back again for a longer stay next time.
