It is the third time we have stayed in Serendipity and a glowing review is now long over due...even though my instinct tells me to keep this Provencal gem a secret!

The villa itself is very homely, spacious and perfectly comfortable. The room lay out means it works very well for two families who may appreciate the extra space when sharing a villa - two double rooms are downstairs and we found there are plenty of shower/bath rooms to go around. Furthermore because of its size, Serendipity is able to offer plenty of choice - you can enjoy lunch by the pool, or in the dining room, or up on the sun terrace and likewise there are two lounge areas should you need to escape the sun and read a book for an hour or two. The villa is nestled on a quiet hillside, a 5 minute drive outside of the old Provencal town of Figanieres (shops, restaurants, a bar) and looks down onto vines, oaks and rolling hills. It is peaceful and private (you'd never know the glitz of St Tropez was only 40 minutes away!).

But without question the reason to visit Serendipity is for the large infinity pool itself. It's clean, in excellent condition, gated, clearly visible from the villa and has a large sun terrace and a beach area for non swimmers. Its big enough to exercise in, keep the kids entertained for weeks and deep enough to dive into to cool off....

If I could add one thing it would be to have a bigger dining table outside.. the one inside does extend however. Thanks for a brilliant holiday yet again.. we look forward to next year!

Fantastic location surrounded by vinyards means peace and tranquilty. Comfortable and well furnished with everything you could want. Start the day with breakfast on the terrace with fresh baquettes from locsl bakeries before trips out or just lazy days by the pool.

Local British house manager is always availble if there are any problems or just to answer questions and provide advice.

Local highlights are the weekly produce markets in the picturesque villages in the area or the route des vins for tastings. Easily in reach of Nice, Maeseilles and St Tropez, it remains a genuine part of France, unspoilt by mass tourism.

Ideal for relaxing holidays and a real taste of France
