Bookies this villa for our family of 10 Inckudeinf a toddler , new born and four year old to celebrate my husbands birthday. This villa is ideal for a big family group set over two floors with two lounges and kitchens. Plenty of room for everyone to find a quiet spot! It’s very well equipped , plenty of shady areas The location is ideal. We particularly enjoyed walking down to the old town in the evenings. Good size pool with a nice outside seating area. The owner Melanie answered all our queries and was really helpful. Even arranging for our grandsons toy lamb to be posted back to us when we left it behind. Had a wonderful holiday.

“Beautiful Family Villa”

We would not hesitate to recommend this Villa. Melanie the owner was very helpful and patient with us prior to booking. We bombarded her with questions and concerns. We certainly did not need to worry. We are a family of 7 staying for two weeks. Our ages ranged from 11 to 83 and it suited all of us. The Villa is spotless and very big. With a Lounge, Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms on each floor. Very well decorated and equipped with everything you need. It was hard to decide what to do each day. Do we stay by the lovely large pool, which was a perfect temperature and had the sun all day. Or should we go down to the Arenal or Moraira on the coast with their beautiful beaches and excellent Restaurants and Bars. It is only about 15 minutes to drive down to the coast. We certainly did not want to leave at the end of our holiday, everyone loved our time at Villa Sunshine. Would we go back, YES in a heartbeat. Certainly hope to return next year. Thank you Melanie from all the Brown family.

Response from the owner Thank you so much, really appreciate your kind words

“Wonderfull villa in perfect location”

We stayed in the villa for a week, found the location perfect for exploring the coastline and lovely villages, Flew into Alicante and it's just an hour up the motorway to xabia or taking the very scenic coast roads about an hour and a half which we did on our return to the airport, the villa is beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches and everything you will need and a nice big table outside. The swimming Pool was clean and seemed to be in the sun most of the day so makes for a nice early morning dip. I would recommend this to anyone but you do need a car to make the most of it, saying that you can walk into old Xabia very easily and even down to the port to try all those great restaurants.

“Great villa in a nice area, recommended for a quiet relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

A group of 8 of us stayed at the villa from 4th July - 11th July 2015. We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was lovely and had plenty of space for us. The decor and furnishings were lovely and the kitchens were well equipt with everything you need for a holiday. There is free view English TV and wifi available at the villa which is useful. The outside space was also great with a large balcony seating area upstairs which could be used for a BBQ and a large patio/pool area downstairs. The pool was a god send as Spain was having a heat wave at the time we were there with temperatures reaching 36 degrees some days. A few points which I feel could be improved on are; Although every room in the villa has a fan, there isn't any air conditioning. As with our stay it can become very hot and the fans do nothing to cool the place down they just circulate the warm air. There are sun loungers and a seating area around the pool however, a few of the wooden chairs and a couple of the plastic loungers were broken and there were not enough loungers for the amount of people the villa sleeps. Also, it is highly recommended that you hire a car as the villa is quite secluded and the nearest town is about a 20minute walk away. If you choose to hire a car I would just be careful when entering the driveway as the hill is very steep and the cars do scrape the pavement on entry. I would recommend reversing in if possible. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and if you have a car there are plenty of local places for you to visit. We ventured out to the small old town (20mins walk), the beach (5-10mins drive), Denia town (15-20mins drive) and we also, went to the water park in Benidorm for the day. When we arrived at the villa it was late in the evening so no shops were open and we had no food or drink. We weren't expecting a welcome hamper but a few bottles of water would have been a nice touch as there was only one to share between 8 of us.

“Excellent spacious family villa!”

We stayed for a week at Villa Sunshine with my extended family of 10. The ages ranged from 14 to 83 years old and unanimously everyone loved the villa. The fact that it was large allowed everyone to find their own space if they wanted to and the way it was configurated into two almost separate apartments in one villa with two kitchens, two sitting rooms, 6 bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms plus a lovely pool and terraced areas worked really well for our family. All the add on facilities wi fi, big TV screens allowed us to catch up on Andy Murray's progress at Wimbeldon. The villa was not far away for the port and beach at Javea and its numerous restaurants. It was also well placed for going to Benidorm with its water park and other attractions as well as Oliva and Gandia old favourites of ours. The villa was clean and comfortable and Melanie who owns the villa was most helpful as well as Rosie who is based nearby and came in to check how our holiday was progressing. We would recommend this villa to anyone.

“Beautiful villa, perfect for a large family. Will definitely return.”

The villa is perfect for a large family or two families as the bedrooms are on two floors, both floors have a kitchen & lounge. A lovely shaded area by the pool on the lower floor, and a lovely veranda in the upper floor with 2 large dining tables, perfect for leisurely breakfasts, lunches & dinners. The pool is a good size. There are plenty of sun loungers. The grounds have shaded areas if you need to sit out of the sun. There is ample parking for several cars. You would need a car if staying at the villa as there is no public transport and the villa is situated a few miles from the centre of Javea. I would highly recommend this villa.

“Fantastic Villa for Large Group of Family and Friends”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2014

We have just returned from this lovely villa, if you are looking for a spacious and comfortable villa in a quiet location to accommodate a large party then look no further than here. Our party of 12 included 4 small children and as the pool is on the same level as the ground floor our 18 month and 2 year old did not need to negotiate steps, which is always a worry with little ones near water. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need for cooking and eating, and having stayed at a few villas over the years this is not always the case. The eating area on the balcony is fantastic, many meals were eaten here with ensuing laughter which is all part of spending a wonderful time with family and friends creating lasting memories for adults and children alike. Of course the pool was the main attraction for the children it is a good size to host lots of activities, diving, learning how to snorkel and a volley ball competition! For me the totally shaded area underneath the balcony was fab, you don’t need to keep moving a brolly around just sit in the shade or not whatever takes your fancy on some lovely outdoor furniture. We shall be booking again, so I suppose that speaks for itself, thank you Melanie and Andrew for making our holiday special in creating such a home from home place to stay.

“Wow! Book now... You will not be disappointed!”

We have just returned from a fab holiday, and already have the holiday blues and want to go back to 'our villa' it was fantastic! The owners have gone above and beyond to make it perfect for everyone!, it's huge with tons of space so you are not on top of each other (we took lots of family, daughter, partner and her grandkids stayed downstairs in 3 large bedrooms) while we all stayed upstairs, so managed to sneak off for a quiet cuppa when we needed haha! Very, very clean and most definately 4/5 star if I had to rate it! The decoration, furnishings are gorgeous, not cluttered with lots of little things that can get broken with little ones, but big fab pieces of art that complimented the villa! Plenty of places to sit, although we were always outside I felt a need for rain so we could use indoors, and we got it on the last day haha. The main kitchen was upstairs, and fab! Everything you could need to cook for a large family was there, nothing missed out! So we ate upstairs, outside everynight which made it easier (so little ones weren't tempted to go by the water and could sit in the upstairs living room right next to us if they wanted). The downstairs kitchen was set up for the pool with plastic glasses etc, also a large fridge for drinks etc, and you could cook there also, we just preferred the bigger kitchen upstairs. Local area...... We walked into the local village Thursday morning, found a quaint little market on, but the massive outdoor market was in denia just the other side of the mountain, and was worth the half hour drive on a Monday morning, selling loads of clothes, belts, sunglasses mainly, and other gifts. The main supermarket to stock up is just out of the villa, take first right to little island, go left, then straight on until you see it on your left hand side (no left turn, you will have to come back round) but please don't make the same mistake I did, it is CLOSED on a Sunday, as is all supermarkets, some of our family didn't arrive until sat night so we waited to go with them on the Sunday but ended up eating out as couldn't get supplies ;) We didn't do many restaurants as preferred the lovely villa so the children could relax, but we went to arenal beach, which has been recently updated and had lots of money spent on it, fab sandy beach with little parks right on there for the children, our smallest one tripped and caught his toe, making it bleed and one of the restaurant staff came running out with a first aid kit! Bless him. Oh I can't remember the name of the restaurant (kicking myself now) but it was a word for champagne (sorry) and at the back a lovely long table with stools, food was excellent, they do tapas as well as English food (not tacky English food sorry we do prefer nice food, bit fussy) children's meals were size of ours! Fab service, great price, English speaking waiter, though think he maybe Australian? Anyway....... For a another fab restaurant only 4 mins drive back of villa on Jesus Pablo road (hope I have spelt that right) we went to el gaucho, I had previously googled and found fantastic reviews, you have to pre book as very busy, it is a steakhouse but they have plenty of other meat and fish on offer, live guitar music, fab decor. We opted for the special menu of €18-25 depending on what meat you chose, €18 salmon, to €25 T-bone steak. All came with veg, potatoes etc and lovely little sauces. choice of starters and then anything from the desserts menu for that one price! Good value I say ;) you can find restaurant on Facebook and see photos if that helps? We opted for terra aqua water park in benidorm only because it had a zoo next door, and they do joint ticket of €35 to go in both, great if you want to do that, but if you are after just a water park don't bother! For €28 per person it is very small, 3 rides were shut, they CHARGED you €4 for each sunbed you want to sit on!!! And wait for it? Weighed you, as if you were too heavy (and that was not heavy) you were not allowed to go on! My husband is 6' 7" and definately not fat but he weighed too much? Then to top it all it started raining, and being English of course the kids stayed in the pools (I mean they are wet anyway?) but the lifeguards made them get out!! Nuf said! Boooooo We have travelled the world, Greece, USA, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Cyprus, Venice etc etc, never stayed in a villa before but all loved it so much we want to do it again, and this is one place we would go back to, never fancied Spain before as had idea of it being tacky etc but couldn't be further from the truth (well in javea anyway- benidorm was definately how we imagined it haha) we had to visit there for the cheesy factor! Overall fab holiday, sorry to ramble but I know when I book I like to know everything beforehand, speak to the owner Melanie she's fab, and will answer any questions you have! (Or see desk in villa full of leaflets and maps) have a fab time! Xxx

“Gorgeous!”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

I have just returned from an amazing holiday that I had at this villa along with my boyfriend and a group of friends (all early - mid 20s). There were 10 of us in total. The villa itself is gorgeous and could not be faulted. The bedrooms were lovely, the cooking and dining facilities were great and the pool was loads of fun. I have stayed in many villas on various holidays but this particular villa felt like a proper home and it is clear to see how much effort the owners have made to make it feel that way. The location was also perfect. It was secluded enough that we felt we could let our hair down in the evening without disturbing the neighbours while at the same time it was close enough to the local amenities; It is only a 15 minute walk from the villa to the Old Town which has lots of restaurants and bars and the Arenal (sandy beach) is approximately 3 miles away which took us just over an hour to walk there or 5 minutes in the car. The owner was extremely helpful throughout the booking of the villa and the duration of the holiday. She was always on hand to answer the 1001 questions that I had before we got there and helped make our holiday stress free and enjoyable. I would definitely stay at this villa again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to holiday in Spain!
