“Great family villa but over priced for what you get”
The villa was in an excellent location with great views over the town of Javea. The balcony was a great place to relax with fantastic seating (although only for 5-6 people) and the pool and decking were superb. Given the villa location the breeze is a real comfort from the sun! The only downside here is that the sea view is only from the main bedroom terrace and a bit of a squint down the side of the villa in front. The kitchen equipment and fittings were to an extremely high quality and the inside was well furnished, with lovely artwork, English TV for the kids, games and toys. However, we did feel that, given the cost was at the top end of villa rentals, the service was lacking in a couple of areas. Firstly, we were there for two weeks and did not have any maid service or any change of towels. We holiday in villas every year and this is the first time ever we have not at least two cleans and one change of towels, or at least a tumble drier so that we could dry the towels ourselves. In addition, on arrival there as no bread, milk, pepper, sufficient toilet roll or any kind of welcome pack, although we were shown around by the main contact, who spoke excellent English and was very helpful and informative with respect to local amenities. Many of the lamps also did not have bulbs in and we had to phone up our contact who, to be fair, provided some the very next day but did not fit them. Overall the accommodation was first rate but lacked the personal touches that the price warrants.
Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to review Villa La Corona. We are pleased you enjoyed the holiday and the property but were sorry to learn of the shortcomings and lack of the personal touch. Although cleaning and laundry is offered at an extra cost, we shall take on board your comments and review the policy for next season. As for the lack of bulbs, we shall bring it to the attention of the representative.
