“Happy days in Spain”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2016

This was a lovely place to stay in Spain. Very convenient for Alicante airport and only 10 mins drive to the beaches and restaurants in Javea. The tennis court was the highlight for us travelling with teenage boys, stunning court in immaculate condition surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. Hot time of year to be playing tennis but it did not put them off! Pretty garden with lemon trees and a very refreshing pool to cool off in. There were plenty of comfortable sun loungers and lots of shade from the hot sun. The house was comfortable and well equipped including dishwasher, washing machine and WIFI. We made good use of the BBQ, too hot to cook inside. Bathrooms were spacious, beds comfortable but we did struggle with the heat at night as there is no air-conditioning. As expected in Spain at this time of year plenty of mosquitoes and ants, you just need to stay one step ahead of them! The agents were very helpful and when we rang them with a query, they came straight out to resolve the minor issue we had. Overall a great place to stay, we were only four in our party so had lots of room. Thank you to Paul the owner for all his help beforehand answering questions.

“Excellent week in a lovely Villa!”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2016

Myself and 5 friends visited L'Orangerie in September and had an excellent week. The villa is in a lovely location with great views and it was very spacious. The facilities were spot on and the gardens, pool and especially the tennis court were all really impressive. The bbq area with an inbuilt bbq came in very handy and it is a great area to sit and have drinks on an evening. Javea itself is a really nice location, the Arenal beach area was very smart and newly refurbished and the restaurants, bars and nightlife were all great, especially the beach bars, where we spent a lot of the week chilling out at! Even by late September it was still nicely busy with a mixture of locals and tourists I highly recommend the villa for large groups and families or people wanting a tennis based holiday as the court is in immaculate condition. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and I will definitely be visiting again in 2016.

“Nice House, but it needs a few improvements.”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2015

We enjoyed our stay at this house. The garden is nice and the pool and tennis court are great. The house in it self is an old Spanish house. If you are looking for modern comfort this is not your place necessarily. The windows are smaller so it is darker in the rooms, which of course will keep the heat out as well. Since we did not spent much time inside it did not matter. The roof terrasse was very nice and we liked the dining area outside. The kitchen was basic, but the grill outside was really good. There were a good amount of dishes, but the pans need replacement. They seemed to be old and the teflon is scratched of. We bought a metal pan for our stay. The bathrooms need a bit of improvement as well. All the bathrooms have a tub with a showerhead. But there was no shower curtain or wall. This made taking a shower a bit difficult, unless you want to sit in the tub and shower off. The upstairs bathroom is in desperate need of hooks for your towels and maybe some kind of chair or shelf. The WIFI was working OK. It does not work everywhere. We did not see the management company at all. The owner Paul seemed to be very nice and helpful.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay in the L'Orangerie and we will take your points on board. Best Wishes Paul
