Just returned from villa lagoa, the villa is in a lovely location, but if you have children who are playful and make a bit of noise then maybe this is not the villa for you as the owners live next door and complained about the noise during the day. We also lost our 200 euro deposit due to a few mosaic tiles coming loose from the bottom of the pool. They said this was due to having too many people in the pool at the same time which is an absolute joke, and gave us the bill to repair it. The only other gripe we had was the awful sewage smell coming from the drains in the property. Cala D'or is a beautiful place with loads of things to do for families, with great beaches and restaurants.

I have just returned from Villa Lagoa after spending 10 days there. The villa is very well situated, 5 minutes from a good supermarket, 10 minutes from a couple of beaches and a 15 minute walk to the centre of Cala D'Or. The villa is very well equipped although the kettle was not good enough to make tea, an essential for the English. We had to boil water in a saucepan to get the water hot enough. The pool was exceptionally well maintained and very clean and heated by solar power so it was often warmer at the end of the day. The villa has very good air conditioning and also has British TV. The showers were excellent however we all felt that the villa could have had much better bedding. The pillows were awful, so much so that I had to boost them up with a rolled up blanket and a beach towel. We were a family with grandparents and children of 9 months and 3 years and we found the villa absolutely perfect for our holiday needs. We would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Needed 10 days to relax with elderly parents so needed heated pool Pool was freezing owner lives next door her response was its Solar Heated so needs the sun it needs 2 or 3 days (as they had no sun previously) i do feel then it shouldn't be stated as heated when its beyond their control to heat it..So i wait and wait and wait and after 10 days of perfect sunshine for March the pool was still cold and no explanation from the owner or a sorry so we pay £1600 for a pool we could not use this i feel was very unfair and unprofessional of the owner. The house was nice the beds comfortable the kitchen is a bit small but we managed and the en suite bathroom shower was temperamental and the plugs smelled of sewage which was rather disgusting, I also feel that Holiday Lettings or Best Holiday Homes whom ever they are where not very helpful when responding to my emails during my stay,, all in all i wish i never went there

We have just returned from a holiday in this beautiful villa. The location is ideal with only a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 mins from the town centre. Management were a call away if we had any needs and the cleaner was very thorough. We would highly recommend this villa and will hopefully be returning soon

We stayed in this villa at the end of June/ beginning of July with a 7 month old and a 3 1/2 year old and can honestly say its the best holiday we've had. The villa was amazing and just as nice as the pictures show if not nicer. we were the first people to stay in the villa as it was brand new. When we arrived we discovered there was no cot or highchair as I'd forgotten to specify them, we phoned the lady from best holiday homes and she phoned the owners who arrived in less than 10 minutes with a cot and highchair! The owners are a local family and are so lovely and very helpful. The pool area is bigger than it looks on the photos and we had friends come over a couple of days with 2 children and had lunch outside, there was plenty of room for everyone and the kids loved it. The pool is a great size and is heated so its the perfect temperature. The door to the pool locks with a handle and is very secure from the outside but I'm not sure if it can be child locked so the children can't open it from the inside as we were always downstairs when our little girl was we didn't really look into it. The door was a sliding door and would probably been too heavy for a small child to open. The location of the villa is perfect, there is a supermarket a 1 minute walk away and the town is a 5 minute walk away. We walked to the marina a couple of evenings and it took about 20 minutes with a pram and a slow walking 3 year old. There is also a mini land train that goes from a nearby hotel, about a 5 minute walk, that drops off all over the area, including the marina. We didn't go to the beach as the pool area was so perfect for us but that was also about a 5 minute walk. The kitchen is well equipped (there is even a Nespresso coffee machine) and there is a washing machine and ironing board. The only english channels we could get on the tv were news channels, but there was a dvd player and stereo there and wifi all over the villa. The lady from Best Holiday Homes was very helpful and even talked the taxi driver through the directions when he couldn't find the villa. (PMI taxis were great for the transfers) I would highly recommend this villa to anyone, us and the children had the best holiday, I could have lived there for the whole summer! We are hoping to book it again ourselves next summer.
