“Wonderful stay”

As a family with young children we stayed in Barraca den Bota inJuly/August. Although other reviews criticized pool, we found it ideal with a shallow end that was separated and very safe for young children. The villa was large and had everything we needed, it was a little tierd in places but overall very comfortable. The position is fantastic overlooking the marina and a short walk from beach and shops. We loved this villa the only negative is at the time of year we were there we had a large amount of mosquitoes. The maintenance man came one day on a visit to mend a window, he was very helpful and even went into town to get us plugins. Carla dor has lots of bars and restaurants and we had a wonderful holiday.

“Great location, tired villa”

Stunning location overlooking Cala D'or marina, this was probably a great villa in its day. Size of rooms, convenience of bathrooms, access to pool all great. Plenty of space in the villa and around the pool although with the overlooking trees you will chase the sun a bit. Positives - great views, proximity to marina, great restaurants, pool depth not an issue for confident swimmers, easy drive to/ from airport, wi-fi, plenty of sunbeds, great outside eating area Negatives - lights out as bulbs broken, sockets in rooms & bathrooms not working, absent mirrors, single sheets for double beds, light fingered cleaners! Would recommend this villa on location and amenities, but could do with a bit of money being spent to upgrade its tired interiors.

“Close to perfect”

We stayed for a week in October '13 and really liked the place. It's a three story house, with 4 bedrooms, two of these with en-suite bathrooms, and the remaining two sharing a bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have direct access to balconies, too. First floor holds a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with dining space. A terrace just outside the dining room was however our preferred place. The house is located right at the sea, just at the harbour entrance. There is almost direct access to the sea, as well as a private pool. The pool water was coolish in October, and at 1.90m the pool was also a bit too deep for our liking. The seawater was nice in temperature, though. The house is a bit worn at the edges, with dirty lounge chairs and sofa, but otherwise in good condition. we had a problem with the Internet password, but a quick call to the bureau solved the problem immediately. All in all a really nice place in a great location.
