“Good location but very tired villa”
Couldn't have chosen a better location 50m from all restaurants and bars and sandy cove next to sea. But very disappointed with the quality of the villa, in need of a total refurbishment. Could have accepted the rustic feel it it had been clean, but clear to us that this had not been done to anyone's acceptable standard. This was only clarified when the maids turned up to supposedly make beds and replace towels etc midweek - only witnessed them change bin bags in kitchen and take all towels and leave only 1 very poor quality scratch and thin towel per person - not even bath mats! Had to ring for extras, not acceptable. On arrival the room on the lower level by the pool smelled and was damp - in fact my sister said it felt like sleeping on wet sheets. Also the bathroom had no shower holder, therefore had to hold and try to shower, toilet moved when sat on, not fixed in any way. Droppings in wardrobe and exit in bedroom, no mirror and lamp that worked. In my opinion everything was run down and grubby. The pool was great although beware the steps into it as they are exceptionally slippy as two of discovered to our detriment - we have major bruising on our backs to prove it. There are no handrails on any of the stairs leading to the pool areas or around the pool so would not recommend to the elderly or kids - or would suggest careful monitoring of their use. Certainly not worth the £2100 we paid for one week - feel like we should be offered something to compensate us for experience
