“Perfect location, great for large groups.”
We just got back from a fantastic week staying at Villa Pinosol. I decided it was worth leaving a review as there is only one other review currently, and it might put people off booking when they shouldn't worry! The rental company allowed us to check-in earlier than the time stated, which was very helpful as some people had early arriving flights and it meant they were able to get some rest. The villa looks just like it does in the photos, and the pool is superb. It definitely showed signs of regularly cleaning and we used it extensively throughout the holiday with no problems. It was so great to finish each evening with a swim before bed. The location of the villa is PERFECT. You can walk to Arenal beach in 20 minutes if you fancy it, but mostly we drove and this was v. quick. There is also a very large supermarket just down the road. It's worth bearing in mind that the villa is up a hill, so the walk back isn't quite as easy, especially in the sun. The villa is surrounded by trees with an automatic gate for the driveway, so felt very safe and secluded. At night it was very quiet. We just about managed to fit 4 cars of various sizes into the driveway, but this did lead to a bit of juggling when different people wanted to go out. There isn't really anywhere else nearby to park your car, so if you have 5 cars (or 4 large ones) this will likely be a problem for you. The villa doesn't have A/C (and isn't advertised as having it, so we knew this), but as June is the very start of the season this didn't seem a problem. It was lovely and sunny outside, but cool enough indoors. I'm not sure if this is much worse in high-season - the fan rental for properties seemed steep at 15 EUR / week each, and feels like it should be something provided for free as A/C isn't available. Showers were great with plenty of hot water for all guests. The beds + bedding were comfortable too and no one had any trouble sleeping. The BBQ and outside fridge-freezer is a great addition, though the BBQ equipment is looking a bit rusty + tired. They are usable, but could do with replacing. Whilst there were no bottles of cleaning products to be used, a tiny cleaning pack was left for us. I do think that 2 dishwasher tablets between 16 guests over a week is a bit of a token effort, and more would have been helpful. Still, they were relatively cheap to pick up locally. The addition of some surface cleaner + kitchen towels would be good too, since you can't go a week's stay without needing these at some point. The same goes for more toilet tissue. I don't think these are absolutely necessities that MUST be provided by a rental company, but it would go along way to achieving a 5-star rating. You should plan to make a trip out to the shops when you first arrive for essentials if you're staying more than a couple of days. We were out by the required check-out time of 9:30, so can't comment on cleaners arriving early. They certainly hadn't arrived when we left at around 9:10. We were a group of 16 people of ages ranging from 3 to 74, and everyone couldn't have been happier with the villa. Besides the small details mentioned on what would elevate it to a 5-star rating, all in all I would definitely recommend the villa to any large group looking to stay in Javea.
