“Beautiful spacious villa!!”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2017

The setting is absolutely gorgeous, secluded hillside spot close to a little village and only a short drive to Palma! The huge pool area is perfect for entertaining & bbqs, lots of beds and seating areas. The interior is stunning and in-keeping with the spanish surroundings, the villa itself is huge and just goes on and on inside. We had more than enough space, and was great to all have huge en-suite bathrooms! I would 100% recommend this villa to holiday makers looking for a luxurious private place to stay!

On arrival it felt immediately home from home. Would thoroughly recommend Sa Taulera to anyone who wanted a great venue for a couple of families to stay. 10 of us stayed in 5 double bedrooms all with ensuite. The living space inside and out was amazing, plenty of room to all spread out. We all hope to return again in the future.

“Perfection!”

No reviews can do this villa, and owner/manager team justice but I will try. Firstly, location : within short drive to Palma, with fantastic supermarket about 20 min drive away. (Also a great sports shop to pick up any additional swimming gear or toys you might need). The village is great. Nice and small so it doesn't feel touristy. But a few really nice places for lunch/dinner/coffee plus a bakery for early morning pastries! The village supermarket is also really well stocked. The villa is just a few minutes walk from the village and feels wonderfully secluded. It is surrounded by trees and a lovely view across to the 5* hotel. The villa is incredibly spacious, with more living space than needed even if you had to spend all your time indoors (which would be a tragedy!). The whole villa is sparklingly clean and all bedrooms are nicely decorated. And all beautiful en-suites which is great in such a big house. But the clincher is the outdoor space. A good sized pool (with plenty pool toys supplied!), a wonderful outside gazebo where you can get shade from the sun. It has a fan so siestas were often taken here! And it's a lovely place to have some drinks in the evening. The shaded dining area right next to the kitchen and beside the pool was perfect for relaxed meals. Kitchen was stocked brilliantly for those that love to cook and there were two big dishwashers and giant fridge/freezers - required for a large group. I could go on and on but these are the main points that I felt could be useful to prospective holiday makers, although it is tempting to keep this place a secret! The owner and local manager (excellent English) made you feel like nothing was too much trouble and you really felt that they wanted you to have a great time. Would unreservedly recommend this villa - how often can you say that?! (We were 3 couples with 4 kids ranging from 5 to 9).

Response from the owner Thansks so much! We are so glad you love Sa Taulera as we do and how to have you visit again soon. All our best, Ray and Karen

“Beautiful house with impressive pool area”

We stayed at Sa Taulera with a large family group and it was a great base for us. The house has a special character as most of the rooms are layed out on the ground floor - the layout renders a cozy feeling and a sense of privacy even with many people. The bathrooms were all renewed recently. Very impressive is the large pool area with lots of space to sit, chill and relax! Thus, even for us being 10 people, the house offered lots of space and a great holiday home! Puigpunyent is a cute little village with everything you need: a supermarket, pharmacy, bar and restaurant. Large hypermarkets are just 15 minutes by car and Palma 20 minutes.

“Excellent Villa !”

We stayed at Sa Taulera with a group of 10 adults/kids and it was absolutely wonderful. The villa has a warm friendly family feel to it. The large kitchen leading into the pool area was clearly the centre of our activities. The bedrooms are all comfortable and, due to the layout are all very quiet - despite what noise there may be in the living areas (great if the kids have gone to bed but the adults are still drinking great red wine (from the vineyard just up the road) till the late hours. The Villa is just on the edge of the village (only a 5 min stroll down the hill). The estate is big enough that you don't feel the presence of other properties and we had no problems at all with the neighbours. As its a House (in Spain) clearly sometimes there are minor technical problems but the local agent and the owner were both so responsive and fast to get them rectified that they were no issue at all. Owner did a great job in the lead up to our holiday to communicate every possible detail about the property and the town - this was really, really helpful!!! (Trust her advice as it was mostly spot on!) The house is fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Would thoroughly recommend Sa Taulera !!!!

The property is super spacious and everything is easily accessible. I really enjoyed the large pool and the TV in the outdoor gazebo for late night movies. It feels like a home and you can really make yourself comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!

Sa Taulera Casa, was a wonderful place to stay. Inside and outside merge as one big space. Lots of area's for sunbathing with or without shade. Swimming pool great size. Eating outside at night was easy, and very relaxing with a glass of wine. Bedrooms and bathrooms good size , lots of white fluffy towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. Puigpunyent is very Spanish , not touristy at all, with a good supermarket, bank/cash machine, and a couple of really good bar/resturant.

“Sa Taulera is magnificent”

I had the opportunity to book Sa Taulera last July and it was so enjoyable, I'm going back again this year! Located just 25 minutes from the airport in Palma, Sa Taulera has has all the amenities of a private paradise. With its five beadrooms and on suite baths, there was certainly enough room for our entire family. Our family prefers home cooked meals, and the fully equiped kitchen was the joy of cooking! The weather was beautiful while we were there and we often ate in a shaded area (covered in grape vines) outside next to the pool and gardens. We did eat out one evening in town at Rosa's Restaurant which was walking distance and our meals were fantastic. Also don't miss the local winery nearby and LaReserve-- both a treat to visit. I highly recommend this porperty and hope you enjoy it as much as our family did.

We stayed here with our 2 young children, the villa itself is amazing! It's spacious and has everything that you need in it, a real home from home. The outside space and pool is fantastic and our kids loved it, the gazebo area with tv is a huge bonus! The village itself is beautiful and scenic and has a bar, restaurant, supermarket, bank, chemist and some other shops. The owners are also lovely and really do cater for everything you could need, I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and we hope to go back soon.

“Utterly perfect - a magical destination and beautiful home from home”

I had a wonderful, memorable stay at Sa Taulera Casa in summer 2012 with my husband and a small group of friends. It is a fabulous house, extremely spacious, well equipped and elegantly designed. I wish it was my own home! As soon as we entered the driveway, bordered by lovely trees and plants, we knew we'd arrived somewhere special. The outdoor area is amazing - there is a lovely large pool, warm but still refreshing, and a huge private terrace around it with plenty of comfortable loungers. We spent blissful afternoons dipping in and out of the pool, listening to music or watching movies on the comfy sofas outside under the gazebo (the speakers are excellent). In the evenings we had BBQs (the supermarkets have excellent seafood and meat) and would all sit around the big table outside, with the pool lit up. One night we took the short walk to the Hotel Son Net - a very classy five star hotel - and had drinks and dinner there. It was excellent and it was so good to be able to simply walk there and back. Puigpunyent, the small village where Sa Taulera Casa is just outside of, gives a taste of the true, rural Mallorca; it is small, full of character and charming, with a handful of shops, bars and restaurants. It is a very pretty area and extremely peaceful, up in the hills with dreamy views all around. But while it is secluded and relaxing, you don't have to go far if you want more action. The interesting town of Palma with loads of restaurants, bars and a lovely old town is only 10-15 minutes drive from the house, and the very pretty towns of Deia and Valdemossa are not much further. One afternoon we drove about 20 minutes to a beach, and it was fun to swim in the sea and have some tapas but most of the time we were happy relaxing at the villa. The kitchen is of a high standard and is very large, so it's conducive to cooking together and standing around chatting over a glass of wine or two, before settling on a cosy sofa or outside if it's warm. The whole house is so pretty, it could easily be featured in an interiors magazine. An amazing find - we can't wait to return!
