The villa is beautifully tiled throughout. It has a large covered sun terrace and a roof terrace too. There are 3 bedrooms (I double and two twin rooms). there is a bed settee in the lounge. There is also a small kitchen, a toilet/shower room and ensuite for the double bedroom. There is no air con, just two fans, so It got very hot at night. The TV picks up Spanish channels. There is a mobile internet dongle but no WiFi or broadband. The pool was excellent - large, well maintained with a pool block with toilet and shower. Garden was mature and private with a brick barbeque. Driveway was gated and room for two cars. However there is no air con, games room, Broadband, Wi Fi, pool table or tennis court. Hence the description was somewhat exaggerated. The owner was very helpful and met us at the toll off the motorway. She also left a cake, beer and brought some grapes which were all a nice touch. Villa is 200 metres uphill from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest cashpoint and bank is 2km away in Moraira (a 40 minute walk along the road).

Arriving at Alicante airport from Canada, we quickly organised our car rental and set out on our way to our destination of Moraira. With simple but extremly accurate directions from the Maria, we soon found ourselves there, at last, our villa haven for our two week holiday. First impressions were that we felt immediatly comfortable in this very well equiped beautifully furnished villa. It has a wonderfully home from home feel with a delightful rustic Spanish charm, much to the owners thoughtful personal touches that are a theme throughout the whole villa. Much of our week was spent lazing around the fabulous pool, enjoying meals, with produce bought from the assortment of local shops. Both fish and meat were really fresh with a large selection to choose from, so something different each day. Our favourite memory of this charming and unexpected find was evenings spent watching the sun set with a glass of the local wine. We loved Moraira town, with its large choice of restaurant bars,cafes and shops. There was so much choice, you could have Cocktalis on the Marinas plush terraces or any food of your choice with budgets to suit all. We explored the mountains and villages and along the coast, where there are many little coves to discover. We both had a wonderfully restful stay in Villa Maria and will return, perhaps with family as I think our daughter will love it too.
