You know you found an amazing place when you can't stop taking photos of it! The whole villa was very tastefully designed and all details were taken care of (i.e. bathrobes, candles, etc.). The garden view from the room was private and beautiful, and the whole place was very nicely surrounded by the nature. The room has a very nice traditional/natural feel, but what impressed me the most was the bathroom. Most of the places I stayed during my holiday in Bali have the half open roof design, but this place had it done at perfection. We had bath in the candle light under the stars, and bath under the blue sky with coconut tree and jungle in front of the window. The best bath experience I had was a hot bath in the light rain. Yeah, you guessed it – I loved the bath. Pity this design is only suitable for the weather in Bali, not for the cold winter of where I’m from.

One thing to note was the occasional gecko barking sound – it took me a while to figure out that they were the sound from geckos. I consider that a sign of true connection to the nature.

The villa is about 10 minutes’ drive to town, so hiring a scooter/motor bike (about AU$6-7 per day) would be the best option.

Overall, a perfect place for a relaxing holiday – I would definitely love to come back one day.

This place exceeded all of our expectations, believe the photos as this private compound of three traditional looking yet modern appointed villas is absolute bliss !!. We are a family of 5 so it was a bit bigger than we needed but provided endless hours of exploring for the kids. Situated in Penestanan it is the perfect distance out of town, close enough for trips in and food delivery but far enough out for a bit of peace and quiet. From what I can gather this place is one of the new wave of Ubud accommodation ventures that offers a very professional experience without losing any of the Balinese charm. Sounds like I work for the company? I wish, I am an executive chef from Australia traveling with my family. enjoy
