WOW! I have been coming to Bali for more than 30 years and have always found accomodation very hit and miss but not this trip.Villa Aah is beautiful, a traditional Balinese villa extremely well maintained, comfortable beds ( that's a huge plus) spotlessly clean and a gorgeous pool. The perfect place to chill after a day's shopping. I was travelling with 3 teenagers and an elderly mum and we all agreed that this is one of the nicest villas we have stayed in. Away from the craziness that is now Ubud Serene peaceful and very beautiful villa Aah is an easy 10-15 minute walk downhill to Ubud... Shopping great food and then no problem to hop in a taxi $5 home whenever we were ready.. I would highly recommend Villa Aah for everyone! Thank you for a wonderful stay we will be back!

We spent 6 nights here, we would have left after the first night but the whole deposit was already paid.

The house has an open living environment which brings in everything from stray cats with kittens and small geckos, frogs and lizzards. That's generally accepted but with open living comes continual upkeep.

The pool was not cleaned the whole time we were there, turning a cloudy colour where we could not see the bottom. This lead the both kids getting "swimming ear" due to the bacteria formed by no Maintanence. 2 visits to the hospital and clinic, 2 million RPH later and and ruined holiday as the kids were unable to swim again. Unacceptable Lynn...

Gardens were unattractive around the pool and in. The bathrooms, again general Maintanence would make them welcoming...

Internet did not work for 3 days when we were there, no suggestion to obtain a data package via SIM card to accommodate the guests...easy to get in any country..

The only saving grace was the remaining 3 nights that were spent in a villa in Seminyak that made Ahh Villa show its true colours, and it was $50USD cheaper...

Staff at Ahh Villa were welcoming, thank you Nyoman and Wyan...but unable to fix the problems mentioned above...they were still tipped well

Lynn, I hope you this gets to you...

Regards

We are very sorry to hear that Luke did not enjoy his stay at Villa Ahh, we take guest feedback very seriously and if we come across problems we try to get them fixed as soon as possible.
We recommend that all guests report any problems to us immediately, thus giving as proper time and opportunity to address any issues right away, to report problems after the vacation is not recommended.
Following Luke's comments we immediately referred to the owner, as all previous guests who have stayed at villa Ahh, have always reported very positively.
The owner has responded:
So I am sitting here with Wayan and this is what she has to say:

First off Luke expressed big disappointment when Wayan showed up on his first morning with his requested food because the supermarket does not opens at 8:10 and he demanded wayan be here at 8 even though she said she normally works at 9 am. She also said emphatically that he left NO tip for anyone. And I spoke to all staff.

Also they went to clinic Ganesha one time only by car and they used Nyoman as driver as they insisted In keeping him on full standby and paid him only 700,000 Rp for 5 days stand by full. No tip. And to the clinic on the second day they were here, which tells me the kids already had an ear infection before they got here. All staff said the 2 children were swimming in the pool EVERY day they stayed in the villa and yes it is true the pool was a little cloudy the first and second day because it rained super hard the day before.

The gardens look how they always look no difference there.
