I needed to write this review to make others aware of this beautiful property.

Like many, I turn to Trip Advisor for advice on where to stay when on holidays. I searched for months to find the perfect place and the best one I found had hardly any reviews. So, I want to be the first to start making families aware of this paradise accommodation.

For me the search had to tick every box: Traditional, Family, Location, Cost & Service. Although I have been to Bali many times, this was the first time I would take my children. I wanted to give them the absolute BEST experience.

Traditional: This property is a traditional Balinese home, although very much on the upper end of a traditional home, it would only be for the wealthiest of the Balinese. But hey, we want a bit of luxury don’t we? The photos that are available online are all true indications of how beautiful and exquisite this property really is. It was very important to me that when the children woke up each day, they woke up to a magnificent view, and that they knew exactly where they were. And that they were surrounded by culture and not waking up in a plasterboard square room that could be located anywhere in the world.

Family: This property is very open plan with lush gardens and lawns and so many areas to hide, getaway and of course be together. Large common areas such as the very large table in the kitchen where we would sit each night and talk about our day, and be together each morning planning the day ahead. So many different areas to this very private property to enjoy with your family.

Location: I chose Sanur as I have stayed there many times and it is a bit of a step back from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. My 3 children are aged 9, 11 and 15, I think Sanur is a good entry level experience for children. It offers most of the things you can get in Kuta, but a little more laid back and not so overwhelming for a first timer. Sanur is also very safe. We didn’t even worry about locking the front gate of a night because you were given that gut feeling that not only was it safe, but our neighbours were also looking out for us.

Cost: You must take into consideration that this property is huge and very spacious. Very much overkill for me and 3 children. But amazing to the kids and made them feel like they were royalty. 4 large bedrooms in total with King beds. You could easily add more beds to each room with plenty of room to spare. At approximately $200 (AUD) per night I am very aware that you can find accommodation much cheaper, but you will not find an experience like this property. It was worth every cent.

Service: This is a self-contained Villa, so you won’t have a maid coming in each night to turn down your bedding. You will be mainly left alone. However, in the mornings the Villa is serviced daily by cleaners, gardeners etc. The Villa is always beautifully presented each day and you will sleep in a clean bed each night. From arrival at 2am in the morning, Mau, the villa manager, did an amazing job of helping us settle into our new home, all with great advice and comedy. Each morning we would have Mario attend the property to make sure everything was fine and that the Villa was presented in a beautiful clean state. We also used the services of the Villa Chef for breakfast each morning. Kadek would come in each morning with fresh produce and prepare beautiful meals out of our own kitchen at just $5 per person. There is a fully equipped kitchen if you would rather do this yourself but for $5 who would bother. We did stock the kitchen with fruit and snacks though for nibbles during the day.

All aspects considered, this place is amazing. Please consider it if you are planning a holiday with friends or family. You could also just rent it as a couple if you are looking for a very private luxurious experience. But I will be back here for sure with my extended family next time. Well done Villa Hibiscus. You made our family holiday a lifetime experience for my children.

we book this villa because the location close to Bali Scuba, and Mertasari beach, where i spent most of my time (kite surfing and diving). My family also love it. It is quite far from Hardys (the big supermarket) and Kuta-Seminyak (for the youngsters), but then my kids rent scooter (with a help from Mau, the manager), and all short out.
Good place at good rate
