We had a wonderful stay in Adagian. The villa is lovely , with excellent amenities & very helpful staff. The place is very tastefully & thoughtfully done up, with attention to detail to make the stay comfortable. Location is quite convenient. Cabs are a phone call away, quaint eateries & spas at a walking distance. Our stay here was definitely a key highlight of our Bali vacation.

Villa Adagian is a great villa for a family with small kids or for two families to share. Away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, but a short drive that is not too long for young kids, it is an oasis for relaxation and quality family time. I would highly recommend it.

Living in Singapore, Bali is our # 1 destination for family trips; every year we return to the island at least once or twice (This last trip was visit # 12!). We have stayed in most parts of the island and have recently become a fan of the Umalas area because of its proximity to great cafes, restaurants, and short-driving distance to airport, Seminyak, and other attractions. Villa Adagian sits at the end of a private alley in Umalas, away from crowds, yet not too far to be inconvenient.

Villa Adagian is a perfect villa either for a couple who wants a private retreat or a family with young kids. If you want to chill at the villa, it is easy to unwind and pass a day or two there without leaving. The pool is shaded most of the day under lush, large trees so you can relax in a cool breeze. Putu, the villa housekeeper, speaks excellent English, and is quick to help arrange any thing you need (including masseuse who comes to the villa!) and cook delicious food upon request. She is highly professional and welcoming.

Beyond the villa, some great cafe's are within walking distance. Monsieur Spoon, my favorite french coffee shop in Bali , opens at 6am which is great for families with young kids who need a strong espresso and hot croissant just as the sun is rising. Nearby are also Nook and a wonderful fusion Sushi place, both with great views of rice fields.

Perks of the villa include: A great espresso machine to make your own Balinese cafe, high quality cooking equipment if you tire of going out and want to make a fresh meal from Bali's awesome produce, and wonderful beds with high-quality sheets and great mattresses. Unlike so many villas which look nice but maintenance has been lacking, Villa Adagian does not miss out on the details.

If you want to be in the heart of all the noise and crowds, this is not your villa. If, however, you want to awaken to the sounds of roosters and nature, enjoy a breeze, and still have access to some of Bali's top places, I recommend it.
