<p itemprop="description">My husband and I stayed at Villa Sansil for our honeymoon. Both Violet and the staff were amazing. They were incredibly accommodating and caring. It was clear from the moment we booked our trip that they wanted to make our honeymoon, and first visit to Bali, a memorable one. The villa was beautiful - our own little oasis on the beach, and the staff saw to our every need - from booking dinners and excursions, to preparing delicious meals. Nyoman, the house manager, even stopped at several pharmacies to find a medicine I needed, and picked up a beautiful birthday cake for me at the request of my husband. We also LOVED the sweet rescue dogs that lived there. It is safe to say that if we have the pleasure of visiting bali again we will know where to stay :)</p>

<p itemprop="description">We've just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at Villa Sansil, my husband and me travelling from Scotland to meet up with our son and his partner from Australia.

The location is great, right by the beach (there is no direct access from the garden). The garden is stunning, lotus were flowering during our stay. Made the gardener/pool boy keeps the pool spotless and greeted us with a huge smile every morning.

The villa is kept really clean by Nyoman the manager and Kadek the housekeeper, and Made the cook kept us well fed with fantastic Indonesian meals. There's a list of suggested meals but when Made realised how much we enjoyed Balinese food she cooked us other meals not on the menu. I'm a vegetarian and she made separate dishes for me without any problem. We had friends around for dinner a couple of times and again all was fantastic. All the staff are so friendly and gracious and made our stay extra special, we felt we could truly relax and were thoroughly spoilt.

Nyoman organised a masseuse to come to the villa (Ibu Ketut), massage beds are already there, very reasonable price and a great massage.

Made the driver lives right next door and is a very good reliable driver, we had some good laughs with him!

The beds are comfy, loved the outdoor bathroom, the wildlife in the garden.

One thing we did find though, and this is probably because we live in the middle of nowhere, that when you were in bed at night the sound of the ocean became quite a roar. I'm a light sleeper so ended up using earplugs, but this was also useful to block out the early morning rooster calls which are part of Balinese life!

Having the dogs around was lovely, assuming you like dogs which we do very much. They'll ignore you if you ignore them. The staff and Violet do everything they can to look after these poor rescues and find homes for those they can't keep. I wish we could have brought a couple home.

Walking round Seseh was really interesting, Nyoman can fill you in on the ceremonies taking place. We walked along the beach to Echo Beach and Canggu a few times for sunset cocktails (don't have too many, on the way back it's a bit tricky crossing the little river outlets!!!)

It was such a wonderful 2 weeks...I could happily have stayed. Hopefully we'll be able to make a return trip soon.

Thank you Violet, Nyoman and all the lovely Villa Sansil staff. Sampan jumpa lagi!!</p>

<p itemprop="description">We have just returned from a relaxing eight night stay at Villa Sansil with friends. The villa is located right on Seseh Beach and the surf can be heard form the villa itself. There are great views from the veranda across the garden to the sea. The villa is on a large block of land with beautiful tropical gardens and a good size pool. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with outdoor en suites. There is a large dining area next to the kitchen with a lounge area but we spent most of our time relaxing on the large covered veranda of the villa. We enjoyed the serenity of the villa and although we did not feel isolated, we needed to use a car and driver to get out and about. Made, the driver (who lives next door) was friendly and reliable and is a great advocate for the life style at Seseh Beach as well as very knowledgeable about the local area. We walked the beach many times but we were unable to reach Echo Beach or dining venues due to the depth of river outflows along the beachfront (This may be different outside of the wet season when we stayed). We ate many delicious meals at the villa, both Indonesian and Western and nothing was too much trouble for Made the cook. We would let Nyoman the manager know what our preferences were each day and the girls would shop and prepare meals for us, we simply paid for the cost of the ingredients which were very reasonable. Nyoman and her staff (which includes security guards at night) were very attentive and made our stay very enjoyable. The villa currently has five rescue dogs living on the premises which all have their own personalities and will keep to themselves if you don't encourage any interaction with them.</p>

<p itemprop="description">We were searching for a last minute booking that covered the New year celebration so choices were low. We were scheduled to arrive at 1am at the airport so i also needed to know that the villa would be able to take us at such an awkward time. The owner Violet was quick to reply and helpful and we made the booking. The process through Trip advisor was easy and Violet and her manager were in touch thereafter. Airport pick up and drop off are included Nyoman and her team take care of food and other needs. We were in touch by whatsapp and she pre purchased a local sim for data and local use at my request and arranged a driver to take us around. Meals at the villa can be arranged and was good but if you want to go out for meals etc transport is a good idea.
The villa and grounds were beautiful and tranquil. A short walk out takes you to the beach which is a really quiet beach but the seas there are quite rough. A quiet beach is a rare commodity in Bali nowadays so that is a great price. We particularly enjoyed the dogs that live at the Villa which were all rescues.
New years eve was real treat, we had dinner cooked for us at the villa and we went to the beach just and could watch the fireworks all along the coast. Apart from the fact we were standing in pouring rain, it was a tremendous treat and privilege.
Villa Sansil is a rare treat in Bali, peace and tranquility!</p>

<p itemprop="description">We were two couples; my wife and I and our son and his daughter. We were enchanted from the moment we arrived at Villa Sansil. It was an evening arrival, and the staff were waiting for us with dinner prepared; the lighting and candles were all lit; and the breeze brought the fragrances from the garden and the sound of the nearby ocean. The pictures of the villa are accurate; the six-person staff are friendly, unobtrusive, gracious and responsive; and the villa and garden have an eclectic atmosphere that all combines for the perfect Bali experience. We have travelled and lived all over the world, and Bali is unique and has a nice vibe. Villa Sansil combines all of this in a comfortable setting. The four dogs all had personalities and added to the welcome. Massages and other treatments were effortlessly arranged for us, and we took many healthy meals in the villa. We asked for Balinese food for dinner and were rewarded with several fine dinners. For us, breakfast is simple- plenty of fruit, coffee/tea, and eggs occasionally. Nyoman ran everything smoothly, and Violet, the owner in Amsterdam, was responsive and checked on us during our visit to ensure that our stay was perfect, which it was. The villa is situated away from the touristy areas, but there is surf instruction next door and the beach is lovely to walk on. Violet and Nyoman have created an oasis of tranquility. Thank you for sharing!</p>

<p itemprop="description">We visited with family with 2 teenage girls and our parents. The first thing that strikes you is the awesome view of the ocean from pretty much any place in the house. The facilities provided had a 5-star touch and the staff made excellent food - had a full menu you could select. We mostly indulged in local food (including fresh catch right in front of the house that came off the boat !) but also had pasta, cooked-from-scratch pizza as well as brilliant salads. We had a few vegetarians and they ensured we had good choices for all of us - on some days we even had all 3 meals and snacks in between like fresh guacamole.

The villa was great to chill out, but we did take some day trips. Generally full-fledged vacation resorts have concierge services to book activites like this so this was quite a pleasant surprise that all of that was handled by Nyoman. In some cases, we also got negotiated rates because Nyoman booked it for us :-) We took a snorkeling trip to Menjangan island, visited local temples , shopping trip in Seminyak as well as a hike to Mt. Butur. I also indulged in a surfing session with Made on Canggu beach is excellent for beginners. The beach right in front of the house is a place where the locals surf so is fun to watch in the morning and evenings from the nice little sitting area built at the edge of the property.

Regarding the staff, we were impressed by the level of hospitality and sincere attitude to make our stay the very best. In addition to arranging all the trips here are a few examples where they went out of their way to take care of things for us. One of our girls forgot her hiking shoes so Nyoman lent us her nieces' shoes for the trip; we forgot one of our shopping packages in the taxi and she went on a scooty to get it for us - we wanted to have Gusto gelato ice cream on our last dinner and she went all the way to Seminyak to get it for us.

The property also has dogs that are rescued stray dogs. The owner of the villa, Violet has taken them in, treated them to be domestic pets and if you are dog lover, you will enjoy their company as we did.

We had an excellent stay and if we ever go to Bali again, we will stay again at the villa.</p>

    <div class="mainReviewBody">

<p itemprop="description">After busy Seminyak we we're happy to find this peaceful place right in front of the beach. Though viewing the beach it has lot's of privacy and the beach is only used by locals on sundays. Violet was a great host and did a good job in creating a genuine Balinese atmosphere with interior decorating as well as her staff. The cooking was wonderful and we did not bother to leave the house. The nice staff cooks and we only paid the price they pay at the market!! This made it actually a economy stay in a very luxury place. Especially as Violet knows where to get good wine for a reasonable price (wine on Bali is expensive). Though we enjoyed fresh fruit juices made by her staff at the pool during the daytime;-)

So if you are looking for an economic luxury stay in true Bali Vila Sansil is the place to be!</p>
