I am partially wheelchair bound, but use a frame to get around the house. This made holidaying in Bali not easy. Our 9 days at the Villa G were heaven. I was able to get in and out of the pool without any help thanks to the secure hand rail and steps into the water. Floating around in a life rind felt like laying back on a cloud, for the time spent in the pool was a complete pain relief!!
The bedroom and bathroom were easy to access. The bathroom was big enough for a wheelchair to move around without knocking into anything. Having a shower was not a scary experience as had been in other Bali hotels thanks to the secure grab bars in the shower and non slip mats. The loo also had sturdy grab bars which made life so much easier also.
Made was a GEM. Not only did she help us during the day with what ever we needed or wanted, she made the most esquisute breakfast everyday.I can't Thank Marshall and Feri enough for their help when we needed it, and to Made, who if I could have packed her in my suitcase and taken her home, she would be with me now!
We loved every minute of our holiday, from arriving at the airport to getting on the plane to come back to Australia.
Thanks.

Our oldest son found Villa G Ellora in Sanur Bali.
~Villa G is so well equipped for people with disabilities or without. Our son is in a wheelchair and I was anxious about taking him to Bali but Sanur is the perfect location for people in wheelchairs. Wide footpaths and boardwalk along the beachfront were great. We walked from our villa across the road through a resort and onto the boardwalk. You can walk for miles and there are restaurants and bars aplenty that are wheelchair friendly. We got our son on the back of a jetski with his brother driving right out the front of our villa in a great lagoon inside the reef and felt safe with life jackets etc and staff at the ready to assist if need be. We also took him to so many Spas where he had massage, body scrub, foot reflexology, facial manicure and pedicure just like everyone else. We even did a sneaky entry into a resort on the beach with a swim up bar and got him sitting up at the bar in the pool. And a tattoo at a very clean reputable business.
~picked up by Accessible Bali Van (air-conditioned and cold bottled water and assistance with luggage)
~WOW you walk thru the gates into a beautiful tranquil piece of paradise.
~greeted by Made with a beautiful flower arrangement and fresh frangipani lei's. ~our rooms were beautiful, so clean and aircond, 3 very large rooms each with its own bathroom and an outdoor shower in private courtyard.
~toothbrushes, toothpaste, toiletries, beachtowels, power adaptors, ipod dock, pay TV, hairdryer are all provided along with all the disabled equipment you could possibly need
~Made prepared breakfast each morning -an arrangement of fresh balinese fruit, eggs and bacon, croissants, cereal, tea/coffee, toast and even a huge jar of Vegemite for the Aussies, way too much food but it was amazing and kept us going until dinner time.
~we would take the walk along the beachfront or main street to a different restaurant each night.
Highly recommend this Villa and Made was brilliant and so helpful. Thank You we had a ball

Two of my sisters a support worker and her daughter and my self went on holidays to Bali and stayed in Villa G. We all hade a great time and shopped our self silly. We all ate out at lovely restaurants along and near the beach. They’re lots of small shops and stalls all over the place. We hired the Bali Access Travel van for our day trips (Safari- and Marine Park, Ubud Monkey Forest, Bali Museum, Bali Shell Museum, Coffee Plantaion Rice Field the volcano and much much more). The people in Bali are all lovely and helpful.

And now a special thanks to Marahall, Feri our hosts and the helpful staff of Villa G. “I WILL BE BACK”

My brother William expressed his interest in travelling to Bali for a holiday, William is a quadriplegic and uses an electric wheelchair, not only is he beautiful inside and outside he is also fiercely independent and I knew what his expectations would be in regard to his mobility. As I had travelled to Bali on many occasions (mostly to Kuta) I had my reservations that it would be a holiday destination that he could truly enjoy in regard to mobility and access. Researching on the internet I found VILLA G SANUR, we booked....all bookings were handled totally professionally, all questions were answered via email immediately. Coordinating everything was easy....ensure you book with an airline that has a lift to transport traveller from electric wheelchair to airport wheelchair, you will usually find that Qantas has a very high standard in regard to WHS. We booked bali access travel to collect us from the airport with their van that William could travel in his electric chair, you will be met by a host who also travels with you through your transfers/day trips, they take their job very seriously and look after you very well, there is also a driver, the van is modern has all the up to date safety equipment, all 4 of us and luggage were all able to fit in comfortably, we booked day trips out with Bali access travel via email (ensure you book the days you want before you arrive to avoid disappointment) as this was the only van we could hire to get us around to accommodate the electric wheelchair while in Bali. The transfer from airport to Villa G was approx. 30 minutes, when we arrived at Villa G it was absolutely beautiful, there are 3 separate double rooms with their own TV'S and spacious Ensuites, the swimming pool is in the middle of the villa with a Bali style open air Kitchen and Dining table overlooking the picturesque garden and Day Beds. We all had our own privacy, the accommodation was immaculately clean. The position of the Villa is perfect, right across the road from the beach, we literally came out of the driveway of the villas crossed the road, went down the lane way, through the restaurant area of a hotel (I spoke to the Manager to confirm it was ok for us to come through the restaurant and he was happy for us to do this) we found this quicker to get to the beach and also safer than travelling on the road, even though we also did this. Once through the restaurant we used the portable ramp from the Villa to get down a small step to the wide paved path which runs approx. 7klms beachfront, this path is very user friendly and is shared with tourists and bike riders, there are many restaurants, markets etc....truly beautiful...after a busy day sightseeing - Bali Safari Park having a cuddle with an Orangutan, Monkey Forest, Volcano etc. etc. being down on the beach for the sunset was truly special, there are many restaurants to choose from. At Villa G we felt safe and secure, our beautiful Maddy looked after us every day cooking us breakfast of our choice (included in room rate), Maddy lives on site and is there for you with any emergencies or to give you some good local knowledge. I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa G for a fantastic holiday, our holiday was a family/friends holiday and the Villa was the perfect setting, we will definitely be back.

I travelled with my sister who is paraplegic to Bali seeking a respite from winter in Australia as she feels the cold much more than the mobile population. We discovered Villa-G at Sanur. Despite the usual difficulties with airlines, flights and airports when in a wheelchair Villa-G made up for everything. Mardi, who manages this beautiful property was awaiting our very late arrival after midnight (thanks Jetstar). Our brother and his teenage son had arrived that afternoon. There were three large bedrooms with ensuites. Two had enormous disabled bathrooms but lacked the clinical look often found in disabled accommodation. Mardi and her sidekick, Areni prepared our breakfast. Each evening we would let them know what we would like and when we would like it. The following morning we would sit down to a generous breakfast at the appointed time. The coffee was particularly delicious. They kept the villa spotless and seemed unobtrusive, quietly going about their work pleasantly and efficiently. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Mardi advised on outings, shopping for food and local practices. She made phone calls for us when my sister needed to go to a particular clinic after contracting a tummy bug and when we wanted to go to Ubud. The pool was a delight but the hoist was difficult to use. I could continue but if an accessible holiday is what is needed then it would be hard to find a better place than Villa-G.

Largely it has been all said before in previous reviews. The villa and it's surrounds are user friendly for a electric or a manual wheelchair user. There is a fulltime staff member on site (Made) who is extraordinarily helpful, and cooks a most spectacular breakfast, lf you have a special request for breakfast she will attempt to make if for you (her pancakes and fried rice are delicious). Having Made on site, doesn't encroach on the holiday experience, she is very discreet and avails herself to you if needed. It is a beautifully appointed villa (you won't be disappointed), and the pool and pool hoist are fantastic, too lounge in a pool on a hot day, after sitting in a wheelchair all day and sweaty..it's a joy the cool pool water.

Beyond the walls of the villa, the paths are bumpy, though l drove my electric wheelchair on the road on the bicycle path amongst the traffic, scary initially, then afterwards, l just zipped along with the traffic. Hint:
keep moving. The beach front path, which goes for a few kilometres is totally wheelchair friendly (no hazardous bumps), with plenty of restaurants and stalls, and locals prepared to give you a great massage at a small price (negotiate) on the sandy beach (wheelchair ok) had my feet, neck head and shoulders massaged, a treat!

Kadek who drives the wheelchair accesible bus (organised with accommodation) and his partner Deiwei are a wonderful source of information on the local sights. Go and visit the monkeys in Ubud, the steepled rice fields, and the views of the volcano (Agung) from a amazing viewing point, amongst the clouds.

Marahall and Feri, the owners of the Villa G, were visiting Sanur whilst we there, which was our good fortune, as they are the perfect hosts.

Thanks Koman and Irena who also work at the Villa G.
