Warning - We were robbed while staying at this place. Clothes, bags, electronics. All Gone (except passports, thankfully). Police involved.

I’d love to give this place a great review. It’s not a bad villa; quite romantic and peaceful. The pool was a bit green, the decor a bit camp (part of its charm), but all in all, a good property except being at the end of a long, dark, ‘off the beaten path’ street a taxi ride away from Seminyak downtown.

However, on the third day while we were out, this place was robbed. All of our belongings from clothes to electronics to saddle bags were taken. The thieves didn’t leave a thing except our used beach and running gear actually running shoes were stolen too. This occurred after we messaged the Property Manager telling him we were having problems with the safe (which is why we took our passports with us). Only the room we were staying in, not the second, empty room had visible forced entry damage. Suspicious? Odd timing? You be the judge.

The Property Manager wasn’t all that helpful. He met us at the house late that evening after not picking up the phone for a few hours and then accused us of leaving the place unlocked (despite there being forced entry marks on the doors). After a bit of arguing including him accusing us of having a fight and causing the damage, he finally took us to the police station (two actually, for some odd reason). After 3+ hours, we were able to get a police report.

We left the very next day. The owners then tried to hit us up for additional charges for checking out early and taxi fares for the lengthy commutes to the police stations. No real apology, no follow-up from the Property Manager apart from an obscure text about being in 'danger'. Very unsettling for a much needed relaxing holiday.

Airbnb risk team were very responsive, compassionate and helpful, guiding us in the direction we'd already taken - involving police.

If you chose to overlook this review and book anyway - do not bring any valuables.

Other things -
- There’s a large, open hole in the bathroom for natural rain to enter the shower. No way to close it.
- mosquitoes were everywhere, repellant was little use.
- the aircon really doesn’t work that well.

In all Bali villas there is an opening in the bathrooms, this typical of the region.

Mosquitoes are found all over the island, and there are all the necessary products in the villa (catch and burn products).
The air conditioning works very well it is controlled every 6 months.

On the flight, you aussez say that my employees would be involved? I think it was you who invited funny people at the villa and as you étaliez your electronic device on holiday (Ipads, Apple PC, especially large wad of tickets at the sight of everyone.
For why the second room was not opened, it has been 5 years since we rent this villa is the first time that there is a flight.
You say that the police did not care of this matter, and of yet they have mostly been amazed at all that you could be stolen for people who are on vacation.

After my first answer, you dared to email me saying that if I did not took off my answer, you wore a complaint about me, since you were a lawyer.
This is what I did and I see that you have filed a second opinion, which is not nice of you.
Given the good opinion that we had, I think we do not have a bad hire.
