Had a brilliant time staying in Pognana. Drive there was a bit hairy, particularly the final drop to the car park - and we didn't even need the car! because of the fantastic local deli, local boat service and local buses. Villettas look out onto a stunning view, right near the water, not a road in sight. Enjoyed visits to Argegno, Bellagio, Varenne, Como. Ate really well, particularly enjoyed the lake fish. Eric was really helpful.

The location, the accommodation, the hosts, the weather and the local people all made this a memorable stay at Lake Como. Thank you Eric and Robin and Jiselle. You made us feel like visiting family friends! A special mention of Mohammad, the staff member that is always on hand to make it easy. His smiling face and efforts to help us was fantastic and greatly appreciated. The accommodation was great. With the warm breeze coming off the lake each night we slept with the doors open - perfect. No need for a car. The ferry and the local bus was great fun. Food from the market deli above the resort was great, especially the chops! We ate well at home.We'll be back. And Eric if you make it to Aussie please let us know. Otherwise we'll see you back in Pognana Lario - cause we will return!

Lovely apartment with lake views & balcony. Good for ferry connections as there is a stop close by. We met some lovely people there, the owner & the man who managed the properties were extremely helpful, carrying our luggage from car to apartment as the entrance to the property is very steep & recommending an excellent car park in Milan when we visited for the day. There are games & DVDs to borrow for children. We travelled with a 3 year old & a baby & they provided stair gates, cot & high chair for us which was excellent. I panicked at first with the spiral staircase in the property but both the children & I got used to it by the end of our stay. Lovely place to visit, not touristy but also not many places to walk to easily with a pushchair in the evening so depends on what kind of holiday you are looking for. We did hire a car & drove, however you do need to be a confident driver as the access to the property is very steep, luckily my husband was fine with this & other guests there just choose not to drive but use the ferry or public transport.

We stayed in the Villeta Tranquillita #11. The location is great and we had a lovely view. We left the French doors open at night and were lulled to sleep by the lapping of the water against the shore. The kitchen was very functional and the bed and linens were as well. There were little things here and there that may not have been ideal however they are easily overlooked because of the kind, sincere, amazing personal touch of the owners. Poor Robin incurred a major injury horseback riding so we did not have the pleasure of meeting her but we met her other half, Eric. From the moment we showed interest both Robin and Eric responded quickly to our emails answering all of our questions and upon arrival Eric helped with arranging boat service, giving us a ride, and just simply being there when we needed something. He was a terrific host! We would come back again in a heart beat and recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing, small town, authentic feeling. Grazie Mille por Une vacanza fantastica!!

We wanted a place to kick back, relax and rest after a cycling trip in Europe. Our communication with Robin and Eric was very easy. They provided all the information we needed on their site, and more when we asked. We enjoyed the ability to travel across the lake by ferry or walk to nearby bus stops, restaurants to get around. We also liked the sound of the lake close at hand. Eric was always available by Email or phone.

Lcbr is truly everything and More we could have hoped for! From the moment we arrived Eric and his staff were extremely gracious and welcoming. They provided extra attention to our needs + the care and concern to special touches above and beyond the norm blew us away! Our beautiful Tranquillita gave us a terrific Honeymoon and a week of comfort, beauty and repose. Pognana Lario is a beautiful hidden jewel with the combination of comfort and elegance. It has a distinctive presence in this august landscape. The apartment is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. It's breathtaking views wrapped in centuries of history transport us back in time to a simpler way of life. Thank you so much for all the help and guidance. We look forward to our next visit. A fantastic place to stay. Very clean and well equipped with amazing views and just a quick jump to the Lake for some swimming. Eric and Robin could not have been more welcoming or accomodating and we will definately be back for some more fun in Como!

Actually, our stay at lake Como Beach Resort was beyond amazing..it couldn't have been better! It began with our initial arrangements with the owners, Robin and Eric, who were so easy to work with and accommodating. We were sure we were going to have a great vacation. Upon arrival, Eric was there to meet us, and he and Robin were fantastic throughout our stay, helping us with so many little trings that had nothing to do with the villa, including our car issues, our GPS and phone problems, etc. They just couldn't do enough. Both are lovely people, as is their daughter, and we hope they are now friends for life! Second - the location: unbelievable - we felt like we were in a postcard the entire time. The villetta sits right at water's edge, from where you have magnificent views of the lake , mountains, and surrounding villages. We felt so at peace while we were there. Third - the viletta itself - spacious, comfortable, immaculate, with unbelievable views! We hated to leave an know we will return soon!

Villetta Tranquillita is situated on the corner near the BBQ area which was perfect for us as we could enjoy our dinner outside and be close to our baby sleeping. The views from the villetta are amazing, I particularly loved having a leisurely breakfast on the balcony. Simply stunning. We arrived in a terrific thunderstorm which made for an interesting drive from Milan, especially the drive down to the villetta, but once you've done it, it's fine the second time! Eric is a fantastic host, making sure we had everything we needed for the baby and giving good recommendations of where to eat locally. All in all, we had a great holiday and would love to come back sometime!

The Lake Como Beach Resort was an outstanding resort with everything and more than we had hoped for in an accommodation. Truly 5 stars. The villettas were well equipped with all mod cons as well as very tastefully decorated and exceptionally well maintained. The service is impeccable, spotless and beautifully kept. Gorgeous balcony views as well as stunning gardens that overlook the lake from everywhere including our bedroom and living room. The location on the lake is stunning absolutely to die for ! Location, Location, This is it ! Eric and Robin were wonderful hosts that made us feel like family, very welcoming and warm people who went out of their way to ensure their guests were comfortable and had everything they needed. The Holiday rental is run more like a 5 star hotel than a holiday rental and we did not expect to receive the service we were given. Outstanding accommodations in every way. Well done, you have an ecxceptional resort here. The resort is very private and quaint and hidden away from all the tourist traps which was what we were looking for. Close to everything but tucked quietly away for peace and tranquility. What a find ! A real Gem ! Perfect for everyone.
