“Lovely stay”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2017

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July. Arrived later at night and Eric the co owner had met us at the elevator and arranged dinner for us at a local place up the road. He took our cases and put them in our apartment for us. Robin emailed us a lot before our trip and answered any questions we had. Eric helped us with info on getting around, hiring taxis for restaurants bit further away and was always on hand to assist us. One of those was Bella Vista in the mountains which we loved. That was a fab night and we bumped into owners and met the chef. Was lovely getting to know you both.. Customer service from both owners was exemplary. Ferry stop only a few minutes walk away. Visited Como, Bellagio and Verenna, which was my favourite. it's a lovely scenic way of getting around the lake. Visited Lugano in Switzerland by train from Como. Bus stop up the hill. Apartment is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Could make small improvements such as firmer beds and air con, that's only my preference. Elevator could be bit temperamental. Although there were 2 fans in the apartment which helped. View from balcony was stunning, lovely to sit and have a wee glass. The lido was fab, sun beds were available and kayaks etc. for the lake. Met some lady very people from all walks of life which enhanced the experience. Thanks so much to Eric and Robin for a wonderful stay.

Response from the manager Thank you for your lovely review. We look forward to having you again some day. Ciao from Lake Como! Eric, Robin and Jennifer

“Wonderful villetta on lake como”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2015

This is a wonderful place to stay. The villas are beautiful the views across the lake are stunning. It is on the quieter side of the lake, but this was right for us. There is a local shop for early morning croissants in the village and a bar. The owner Eric is very helpful and met us on the morning of arrival. I wanted some advice and found him so helpful and not intrusive. He organised a boat for the lake for fours hours for us, this is the best way to see the lake and the properties that are stunning around the lake. The property is opposite George on the lake, so maybe some of you will get the glimpse all women want!!!! We are seasoned travellers so can get about and organise our own days. however, if you are people that need a lot of guidance then I am sure that Eric would help you with all that you would need to know or organise things for you. We could not have chosen a more idillic spot for a 3-4 day break. I would recommend this property to all of our friends. Please try to get to Bella Vista (ex gordon ramsey chef) the food is great and the views stunning although the trip to the top is like zig zag hill. Bellagio is a must. Hiring a boat for 4 hours is a must Como itself was a little disappointing but maybe that was because we had a little rain that day. The walk from lenno to Villa Balbianello (Casino Royal) is a must. All in all a splendid four days away. Italians are great Dave & Danielle

Response from the manager Ciao David and Danielle, Thank you for being such gracious kind guests. It was a great pleasure to have met you and have had you stay with us at the resort. We look forward to seeing you in the future. Ciao from Lake Como! Eric, Robin and Jiselle

“A Little Gem”

A little gem!! Just returned from another wonderful holiday on Lake Como staying at The Lake Como Beach Resort and Villas. This was our second time here and all I can say is, it gets better and better. A last minute decision to take a holiday and as usual Eric and Robin were first class in providing me with every assistance to make it happen. I gave two days notice of arrival and was very lucky that they had a spare viletta at short notice. We arrived in to Malpensa to a waiting taxi, whisked to Como and were in our Viletta by lunchtime. The resort is in the most beautiful spot on the lake and offers a perfect location to visit other areas as the water taxi stop is just a couple of minutes walk from the vilettas. There is a fabulous little shop in the village catering for all you’ll need to keep you supplied throughout your stay, lovely breads, meats, cheeses etc. Como itself provides a vast choice of specialist deli’s also. This is the perfect place to step away from it all. Spend your time touring or just relaxing on a sun lounger taking in the stunning location. Eric is on hand regularly checking that everything is OK and that you’re happy and asking if there is anything more he can do. We love this place, don’t arrive here with expectations of Amanyara or Shangri La as frankly you’re not paying those prices. It is everything and more you could hope for in a truly breath taking location. A very special resort run by a very special couple. I can’t recommend it highly enough!!

Response from the manager Ciao Andrew and Jane, Thank you both for your kind review. Eric, Jiselle and I are so happy that you both had a great stay with us at The Lake Como Beach Resort. It is always a pleasure to have you both. We look forward to seeing you again on a future trip to Como. xo Eric, Robin and Jiselle

“sehr schöne gut ausgestattete FW direkt am See”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2014

“Best View in Lake Como”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2013

It was the best vacation spot we ever had...the view, accommodations, and mostly the owners Eric and Robin. We swam in Lake Como every day...relaxed by the sandy beach area...and enjoyed the evenings sunsets lake side with the new friends we made at the Villas. I give it the best rating...just need to know that there are spiral staircases to the second floor bedroom and bath...in case you have a difficult time with stairs...we loved the first-floor and second-floor bistro tables to enjoy our meals and the view.

“Small paradise with a devil way in”

Very nice place to stay but the access is terrible and dangerous. Very nice view on the lake anc nice place to swimm. However when you arrive with there is a terrible narrow private road to go to the parking area. The slope is probably around 30% and it turn two times. Your brakes are just sufficient to go safely down and your engine just sufficient when the gear is in the first speed. Thye flat is very nice but the private stairway to go to the room is veru narrow. Eric the owner is very nice and help as much as possible.

Response from the manager Thank you for your kind review and comments. Lake Como is situated on terraced hills and has narrow roads to navigate . We have a steep driveway to the car park as most places on the lake do, but is manageable . We do suggest that if one has mobility issues, it may be best to stay in downtown Como Centro ,as anywhere else around the lake will have steps and will have curved drives as well as terraced terrain. There is a lift from the gardens to the car park, in the garden area as well as some steps and a spiral staircase in the villettas, from the main floor that brings you to the second level . If one has mobility issues, one may want to consider staying in a Como Centro Hotel , that is all on one level with lift. We also have many guests who have stayed with mobility issues and have really enjoyed being on the waterfront . Of course each situation is unique and different. Please ask if you have any questions. Thank you. Eric and Robin Lake Como Beach Resort Villas.

“Great stay on lake Como”

My wife and baby son had a great week at Lake Como Beach Resort. The villas are clean and well appointed, the location is fantastic and Eric and Robin are great hosts. There's a great little shop nearby for supplies with an excellent meat and cheese counter - and plenty more besides. The ferry stop is just a short walk away too for trips out - but relaxing and enjoying the superb lake views from the lawn or sunbeds is a great way to spend time. If the water is warm enough - a swim in the lake is recommended too.

“Beautiful place and great people”

Lake Como is a beautiful place and the Lake Como Beach Resort is a great place to stay. The first morning we were there Eric the owner met us at our door, took us to the local grocery store to help us get supplies and introduce us and supplied us with maps going everything that there was to see and where they were located. It was this personal service that made the stay so special. Eric also helped us with bus and train times, getting to Switzerland, and helped us get to an out of the way restaurant that he suggested. The restaurant, Ristorante Bellavista, was amazing. Eric did all this despite the fact his wife was in the hospital with a broken pelvis. The rooms are clean with plenty of space. The views are amazing from the porch or second story balcony. There are grills and plenty of outdoor tables that we took advantage of for a one of a kind barbequing as Lake Como as our back drop. Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places on earth and you can't go wrong staying at Lake Como Beach Resort. Thank you Eric for making our honeymoon so enjoyable.

“A Wedding in Paradise!”

On September 2nd, 2012 we celebrated our dream wedding on Lake Como at the Lake Como Beach Resort. Planning a wedding in Italy all the way from Canada didn't seem like an easy task but with the help of Robin and Eric it was possible and we can't thank them enough. They went above and beyond for us and we are privileged to now call them our friends! Our family and friends all stayed at the Beach Resort during "wedding week" and we all agreed it was the perfect place to stay. We spent six weeks in Europe and the villettas were by far our favorite; comfortable beds, spacious rooms, breathtaking views, amazing grounds and everything was extremely clean. We can't wait to go back and we have already began to recommend it to everyone we speak to. It was more like home than a holiday! Grazie mille to Eric, Robin and Jiselle! :)
