“Family holiday staying at Villa La Corte”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2018

We have just returned from a fabulous and relaxing holiday in Colico. Claudia and Beppe were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They kept in touch and kept us informed from the moment of booking. The villa is gorgeous, spaceous and comfortable: prefect for a stay with the family. My children loved the pool; and the views of the mountains and quaint church from the garden are spectacular. There are plenty of earing spaces inside and out and a fully functional modern kitchen. We found all the places we wanted to see such as Bellano, Varenna, Abbazia di Piona and Castello di Vezio are all short drives from the Villa. There is a ferry port that travels daily to Bellagio stopping at all the ports on route. Piona train station is a short walk as is Baia di Piona. We enjoyed Lido di Colico and the water sports equipment that can be hired. There is a large shopping mall and supermarket where we stocked up for the week, but also a bakery and small shop within walking distance from the villa. The area is quiet and suitable for young children. There is a slide and swing in the garden. Children who cannot swim will need swimming aides in the pool as it is all one depth (the pool is not fenced), this was not a concern for our children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I recommend, if holidaying in Colico or planning to visit the surrounding sites, staying at Villa la Corte.

“Fabulous Villa Colico.”

We couldn't have chosen a better villa for our 2 week holiday and my wife's 50th birthday. The owners, Claudia and Beppe were very welcoming to both us and our Labrador dog Sophie. They were extremely helpful and accomodating when needing advice or guidance and were 'always' reachable if and when necessary. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome hamper with some very delicious goodies which we throughly enjoyed. On the whole, the villa was well stocked with everything we would possibly need to start off our peaceful and tranquil holiday. On the morning of my wife's birthday she received some beautifully presented handmade biscuits from Claudia and Beppe, which I have to say were very delicious! It such a lovely gesture, which was very much appreciated. The villa is tastefully decorated and was meticulously clean. Through the sliding doors at the back of the property you are presented with beautiful maintained landscaped gardens, an enticing pool and breathtaking views of the mountains. Which we took in on many a night whilst enjoying our BBQ food and a glass of wine. The restaurants, cafes and a large supermarket are all within short distances by car. We would definitely recommend this beautifully presented villa

“Fantastic property in stunning setting”

This is an exceptional property with a backdrop of spectacular mountains yet close to beautiful Lake Como. The house is new, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It is equipped to a high standard, with everything provided, and the star of the show, accessed through sliding doors, is a huge landscaped garden with attractive plants, lovely pool, play equipment for children, stone barbecue, grass for youngsters to run about on, and two separate paved areas with dining tables for eating al fresco. The one under cover is great for shade or shelter. Colico is at the top end of the lake and refreshingly spared the swarms of seasonal tourists. Yet it has attractive waterfront restaurants, cafes and all important ice cream shops. The centre is five minutes' drive from the property and a huge shopping centre with giant supermarket to meet every need is the same again. It has daily ferry sailings for outings down the lake to more famous resorts like Bellagio and Varenna, with trains an alternative option depending on your choice. But, like many guests, we are told, if the weather was sunny, we tended not to stray far from the magnificent garden. The hosts are lovely people who could not be more welcoming or helpful, providing extra high chairs and cots for young children, laying on wine, food and treats for our arrival, and arriving with a tray of cakes for a guest's birthday. Would certainly recommend this beautiful property.

Response from the owner Dear Bob, thanks so much for your beautiful words:) Looking forward to see you again in Colico, our best wishes to you and to your nice family, See you:) Claudia & Beppe

L'unica cosa negativa del posto è stato quello di andare via. Villa curatissima, pulitissima, dotata di ogni comfort, panorama ottimo. I proprietari sono di una disponibilità estrema, ti accolgono alla grande e ti seguono alla grande! Complimenti!

Response from the owner Ciao Daniele grazie per le belle parole; quando vorrete tornare sarete sempre i benvenuti! Un caro saluto
