老板是一对非常 nice 的退休的夫妇，很热心很友好。 整个chalet 很安静很大，非常适合一家人或几家人或一般好友一起，每天坐在客厅吃早餐窗外的景美到舒心！这里的设施很棒很齐全 干净舒适 很温馨有家的感觉。从家具和装饰可以强烈的感觉到女主人很喜欢我们中国的古典文化，后来发现原来她年轻的时候主在香港多年。总之非常非常喜欢的一个Chalet，这次是我们2口子去，想着明年或年底再回去，这次我们一定会带上2娃和好朋友一家子一起。发现这边非常适合小朋友，比日本北海道好多了！其实机票价钱和路途时间差不多！ 厨房很大，我们这次还自己下厨，就想着下次可以带小朋友，带上一些面条食材这样他们吃就方便多了！

A very spacious and well appointed chalet located just across the valley from the main ski resort of Engelberg. This was my second stay and hopefully not the last! The property has ample space and has been very nicely furnished by the owners. The views from the chalet are spectacular! The chalet is situated on the hillside of the valley. It is within a walking distance of the main part of town as well as the slopes. Taxis are also easy to call so everything is within easy reach. If you are looking for a self catered chalet with access to great ski conditions - or indeed summer mountain walks - this is a great one to choose, especially if you are planning a large group. However, equally, it makes a very nice stay for a small family who want the feel of the run of a nice house. I would definitely recommend.

The chalet looks over towards the mountains which are spectacular. The chalet is exceptional, spacious, clean, comfortable and run by John and Jacquline who are perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The trip up the mountain is a must as the scenery is breathtaking. I was lucky enough to be there when the cows came down the mountain for the winter. A sight I will never forget.

Stayed here for a week in late March. We're two families from the US who had never visited Engelberg. The house is a one mile walk from the train station which is a lot with a full complement of ski gear. We walked because there's no bus service near the house. In retrospect, we should have gone right to the slopes and rented a ski locker (go to Stockli's rental for a GREAT locker) so as not to carry all our stuff up the hill to the house. Our two families (8 total) really loved the house. A very nice kitchen with all the latest amenities (we cooked every night), an awesome sunroom facing the mountain with a heated floor (***** stars!), a Living room/TV room with plenty of room and bedrooms for everybody. We didn't even open up some of the bed rooms. There were two master bedrooms upstairs and at least four (maybe more) bedrooms downstairs with at least two bathrooms down there. All furnishings were fine and comfortable. We never ran out of hot water. the house had a washer we used frequently (line drying). The fireplace was also nice. Only thing holding it back from five stars is the lack of a hot tub and the walk up and down the mountain (we got used to it quickly though). We didn't have a rental car, but there is parking at the house (and free parking at the ski resort). Skiing was fantastic and affordable by US standards.
