WOW! This place is gorgeous! We rented this villa for wedding guests attending a three-day event at the end of June. We (the bride and groom) and our guests were overwhelmed by the beauty and location of this particular villa. In the center of Varenna and on the waterfront - the location can't be beat! Wake up and step out into heart of restaurants and the activities of boat rentals and shopping right outside your front door. There was plenty of room for five - one bedroom had a double bed while the other had a bunk bed with a trundle bed beneath it (although, only the double bedroom was used on this particular trip). There were also two bathrooms. The living room was a sight to behold. HUGE windows overlook the lake - a view that was positively breathtaking. There are quite a few steps that you have to maneuver up into the apartment - so be warned, but if you can manage those with your luggage, it's well worth it. Absolutely gorgeous! Kitchen is well-stocked with supplies should you desire to eat in - although with the abundance of restaurants downstairs, why would you want to, and there there is a microwave and stove for warming up any leftovers. The pricing is absolutely on target and we will definitely look to rent this place on our next visit and spread the word. We had one tiny incident where our wedding guests lost their keys - during our wedding ceremony - but a quick call to the property management company took care of the problem in no time. Excellent service all around. You can't go wrong with this rental. Love it!

We have just returned from a relaxing 7 nights at Varenna Villa. As the title of the review suggests, we found the location superb and the villa was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 12 and 10). Whilst we had planned to do some self catering, we never bothered because the cafe/bar below the villa was a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We dined there on numerous occasions, so much so that we got to know the wait staff and management. There are also lots of other restaurants in the village, all within easy walk. The walk to/from the train station was fine (allow 15 minutes with luggage) and the local real estate agent who manages the property readily available (we needed to check on a couple of minor things with them during our stay). Very good and would have no hesitation in recommending.
