We weren't disappointed! The views were absolutely spectacular from every corner of the villa. The grounds were well kept and the housekeeper was great. We should have been told to rent a car as we thought the downtown was close. It was high on a hill and we definitely needed a car. Very small as the streets are narrow. We hired a van to transport some of us and the rest used the rental car. We didn't spend a lot of time in Palanza as we ran out of town...but enjoyed Stressa, Como and Lugano/Locarno Switzerland. We had 3 full days at the villa and enjoyed it immensely. No one wanted to eat out as the views were incredible and no restaurant could beat it. Kitchen/dining room/living room were roomy and awesome and the pool was clean and gorgeous landscaped. There was an old church on the property where we witnessed a wedding out our windows. We hired a photographer for an evening to capture all of us in so many gorgeous settings. I would recommend this villa to anyone. It would be great for a family wedding on the property. The interior wasn't the most luxurious but it was clean, cozy and very charming. The exterior was over the top and we will never forget this beautiful Italian villa overlooking Lago Maggiore.
