PRIVATE BEACH - SWIMMING - BBQ - Villa Paradiso

Situated right on the shore of Lake Como at the base of a cliff, the resort is a delightful assemblage of individual apartments. The owners and staff could not be more accomodating and friendly. The facilities are good and very clean however our apartment had a spiral staircase which could be awkward to negotiate for some older people. There is a small area for sunbathing and for preparing your own barbeque and a jetty from where you can swim in the lake. There is a local shop for provisions and a good local restaurant all within a short walk. It is perfectly located for exploring the lake and its surroundings, being about 20mins drive from Como along a winding road with spectacular views. Alternatively there is a nearby ferry station with services to Como or Belagio if you do not want to drive. All in all a very pleasant place and we would certainly consider staying there again. Be prepared for a vertiginous slope to reach the car park though!

My wife, three kids, and me recently stayed in Lake Como Beach Resort for a week. Eric and Robin were great hosts willing to help out with whatever we needed. We had a great time and enjoyed the beach, dock, sun, views, walking to the local restaurants and grocery store, ferry excursions to the various towns on the lake, and even a local festival. Also, we had a great time hanging out with the other people at the resort whom we found to be all very friendly and a lot of fun. It was a great choice for our family.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Lake Como Beach Resort. The location, on the shores of Lake Como, is stunning and we enjoyed beautiful swimming in the Lake from early morning to late at night. Our Villetta was very well equipped, beautifully presented and had a lovely balcony with Lake views. The service provided by Eric and Robin is second to none and they went out of their way to ensure we had a holiday to remember.We were able to explore the area by boat and car and did some great walks in the surrounding hills including an ascent of Monte San Primo (1682 metres) the highest mountain in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Como Beach Resort. Eric is a great host and very friendly. The location is perfect. Nice area for bbq, nice "beach"and the best view ever.

stayed for a week with 4 kids, second year in a row, location is amazing, half way betwwen bellaggio and como, waterfront with a sand deck, both us and the kids loved it. Not to mention that eric is a wonderful host will definitely go back next year

My husband and I had a wonderful experience in October of 2012 while staying at the Lake Como Beach Resort. The villetta was very tastefully newly designer furnished with the little extra fine touches, to make it feel like a real home and not a rental. It was very cozy and comfortable and nothing was missed. The views of the lake were amazing and the property sits in a park like setting. We really liked the fact we had a private space to keep our car on the property. The property was safe and secure and the weather perfect in October. We rented a motorboat which was delivered for our use to the Lcbr dock, then they picked up the boat when finished. Eric the wonderful owner and our host was tremendous, he helped set up all our restaurant reservations and day trips around the lake. Rent a seaplane which we did, to see the lakes from the air. Took a ride on the Bernina Express train for the day to San Moritz - beautiful. Went to Lugano, Switzerland on a day trip and to Bergamo - silk capitol as well as Milan. It was all great fun. Our favorite restaurants were Salice Blu in Bellagio and Bella Vista in Veleso. Loved grilling on the bbq from the meats we bought at the local butchers to grill over the lake . Everything about this property was very upscale without the upscale snootiness. The owners were very kind, real and honest They made us feel very well taken care of and pampered. We even rented a motorboat and went to visit the Villa Balbienello- James Bond Villa and had lunch near the Isola Comacina in Lenno and had the most delicious Lemon Ravioli. Really enjoyed the Billicus restaurant in Bellagio as well as the shopping which I thought was reasonable. We will be certainly planning another trip to Como and this beautiful little resort. Fantastic! Eric, was an absolute star, and with Robin & Giselle thanks for making it a wonderful holiday. Will return with my folks! Us - Family of 4, kids 11 and 14 Location - Incredible. Stunning. Right on the lakefront, it's sooo peaceful and relaxing. Built around a grassed square with kiwi bushes, and thankfully, some shade, overlooking the lake. Grounds have various fruit trees, and there's an elevator to get up and down from the car park. Some villetas are round the corner, with less of a lake view, but are also in less sun so are a little cooler. There's 2 Bbqs and plenty of tables and chairs for al-fresco dining. A raised up "beach" with comfy sun loungers and a few chairs and parasols. There's a jetty where the kids played all day long, and plenty of inflatable toys. Who's it for? - There were people of varying ages here, and from a number of countries. But if you're drawn to this place, you'll probably get along. Need to have reasonable mobility though. To Do - Soak up the sun, swim in the lake, go fishing, boating. Go sightseeing. Hire a speedboat. Nearby facilities - Small supermarket is an elevator, a walk up the steep stairs and driveway, and 150 yards of gentle uphill along the road away. It's not the cheapest, but decent quality and fresh produce. Comfort - Be aware that a sleeps 4 apartment means 2 people sleep on the sofa bed in living area, but they're custom made, very comfortable. Best - Location, right by the water, quiet, and don't really need to go out much. And total focus of Eric and Robin on their guests' enjoyment and wellbeing. Downsides - The car park is a challenge for less confident drivers. The steep hillside steps would be an issue for those with mobility or health problems. Spiral stairs in villettas take some getting used to. Take repellant, next to water so we all had a few mosquito bites. If you're still not sure, you should be! Everyone who arrived the day we left, was a repeat booking! Need I say more?

We can't say enough really of the Lake Como Beach Resort. It is everything and more than one could have imagined. Fantastic accommodations, lots of amenities with views to die for...literally!! Wish we could be here for the Irish Wedding at the end of the month. Swimming directly in the lake just a few feet from the villas was a real highlight. You have a very special property here. Can't get enough of it really. The feel is fabulous... amazing and loved it! Be sure to rent a boat and have lunch near Isola Comacina- great lemon ravioli. Eric, Robin and Gisele - you are exceptional hosts, no request was too much. In fact, you are too kind to the sometimes demanding guests. :) And you always have a smile on your faces. Tops is accommodations and customer service. 5 stars for all !! You are simply the best ! We'll be sure to tell everyone about the Lake Como Beach Resort and about your wonderful family. The highlight of our trip was the three weeks we stayed at the Lake Como Beach Resort.Centrally located and the perfect place to stay right on the waterfront. We fell in love with this property and will recommend to all.Owners were amazing and very helpful. Rachel W. family

Our family loved the Lake Como Beach Resort and had a wonderful family reuinon at the resort this summer. We are coming back in 2012. The children keep talking about their vacation and can't wait to go back. The lake and swimming were such a highlight with the water rafts and boats. The kids had a wonderful time while we hung around the gardens, bbq and lido with a glass of wine. You will have to hire a boat to cruise the lake and see the many sights from the water. We were even picked up on the jetty at the resort. The views are spectacular and breathtaking! Would never choose and different spot and cannot wait to come back. Our hosts Eric and Jiselle were fantastic. Jiselle, you are a very special little girl! Everyone loves you. Most relaxing, peaceful and tranquil.
