We spent a lovely peaceful extended family holiday at this villa. The Villa was peaceful, secluded and very comfortable.Quiet, secluded location. Immaculte villa with all amenities. Fantastic pool and fantastic views from pool and waking up every morning to this view was just great. Villa was very clean, well stocked and in great condition. Bev and Johnny could not do enough and always contactable - highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hill top villa. Beautiful views out across the lake while enjoying sitting by the pool. September was a great time to visit as quieter but still really warm (mid 20s). The house is finished to a very high standard with all mod cons. It's a short drive or a 20 min walk down to a really lovely little village with some great bars and restaurants. Highly recommend getting the paddle steam boat out onto the lake and having a glass of prosecco on board! We really enjoyed exploring the towns around the lake by boat and stopping off for food and drink on route!

Great views, lovely villa, spotlessly clean, need a car to visit all the nearby attractions

My first impression of Villa Lila is that it is actually better than it looks on line! Stunning villa, beautiful scenery and everything you might ever need built in. Its location is both one of its biggest strengths and its only weakness all rolled into one. It is situated halfway up one of the massive hills / small mountains around the village argengo and as such gives an incredible view on both sides. We had glorious sun from morning until sunset around the pool area as well as front row seats to some amazing thunder storms across the lake in the evenings. On the other hand, getting supplies to the villa was a concern. Its about 10-15 mins walk down 45 degree hills to the town which is fine. Its getting back up them that's the issue! Jonny from Lake Como Properties was hugely helpful and drove some of our party to a supermarket to stock up. They also gave us a number for a local who spoke good English and had a 7 seater car to drive us back up / to visit other towns. He did however also own a pizzeria and of course had other commitments than driving us around so could be difficult to get hold of. The town itself is small and pretty. Not overly touristy and has a few lovely restaurants. We spent most of our time cooking in the villa, why leave somewhere so welcoming?! On the whole, I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone and everyone. It is great for friends to relax in, safe and comfortable for families and has everything you will need. My partner and I usually don't visit the same place twice, preferring to try somewhere new, but I would certainly like to return to Villa Lila.

All the superlatives in the world don't describe Villa Lilla and its breathtaking views! This luxurious villa boasts lovely designer decor and is extremely well equipped. Hosts Beverley and Jonny are a delightful couple who are happy to share their intimate knowledge of argegno, a charming village, and beautiful Lake Como. All in all, our 6 week stay at Villa Lilla was fabulous and will long be remembered as the best holiday ever! Do take Beverley's advice and rent a car though - it's doable without one but much more convenient with.

We had a wonderful Easter break at your lovely villa. It was exactly as described BUT EVEN BETTER! We couldn't get over the views, not just of the lake, but of the amazing mountains to the side. The interior is fantastic. It's hard to do it justice with photographs. Very cool and sophisticated. It was all so peaceful, we hardly went out. But when we did your list of restaurants was greatly appreciated as was all of your help and advise which all added up to the perfect away from it all vacation. Please book us in now for next Easter.

The villa was just amazing and Beverley was so helpful – her years of experience and local knowledge was a real help. She even gave us her own Gourmet Guide to Lake Como with some amazing suggestions on. Not that we managed to tear ourselves away from the stunning location too often. Most nights we just ate under the stars and stared at the twinkling lights and the lake below. None of the restaurants had a view that even compared! Even my wife enjoyed cooking in the sleek, modern kitchen and the local ingredients from the local fruit & vegetable shop, accompanied by Mario's very own recipes, made the whole cooking at home experience something really special. The kids loved the pool (so did we) and although we had planned to do tons of sight seeing we just ended up chilling the days away and gazing in awe at the truly panoramic views. The villa had everything we needed. Everything was brand new and very 'Homes & Gardens'. In fact we felt like we were really 'living the dream' and never wanted to wake up and go home. We'll definitely be back though, Lake Como has so much to offer.

We were slightly hesitant about booking a brand new villa, apparently it was completed only in August 2009, so we were one of the first few families to stay there. But it was a truly fantastic experience. The views were truly amazingly panoramic and the pool just seemed to merge into the lake below. The accommodation was perfect - with everything we could possibly need for a restful holiday. The place was so peaceful - with 180 degree lake views AND mountain views to die for! It was so good, we hardly ever left the poolside! The owners had thought of everything - BBQ, pool towels, plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and the place was so well kitted out - very interior-designy, but cosy at the same time. We will definately go back sometime and would highly reccomend both the villa and the resort of Argegno to anyone looking to stay on Lake Como and experience the real Italy. Not at all touristy, great restaurants and an amazing spread at aperitivo time in the Colombo bar in the main Piazza.
