We had an amazing stay at your villa. You were so helpful and friendly, organising activities and food for us during our stay. We spent 3 1/2 weeks travelling around Europe with our 4 kids, we definitely saved the best until last. What a way to end our amazing holiday. Villa La Ruga was absolutely stunning with breathtaking views! The house was very well maintained. Clean and spacious with a perfectly manicured garden. Francesco was an amazing host. So kind and friendly. Always available for all of your needs. He had the house stocked with breakfast supplies and all other essential items. What a great house.... Francesco is a terrific host nothing was a problem. He even bought some groceries for our breakfast etc. I look froward to returning to this beautiful hose again....

We were 3 couples celebrating our 50th wedding anniversaries. We were looking for something special and we found it in Villa La Ruga. We cannot say enough about Francesco, the owner. He did everthing in his power to make our stay something extra. We were picked up at the airport in Milan and greeted by Francesco on our arrival. The Villa is situated right on the edge of Lake Como and has fabulous views in every direction. The villa was well equipped and comfortable. We swam right of the shore and enjoyed meals at home by wonderful cooks that Francesco arranged. He also organized a wine tour to the Valtellina which is not to be missed. It is an easy walk into the village of Argegno were you can enjoy village life. Good restaurants, cafes and the best gellato we found anywhere. The ferries stop right at the village square and you can travel anywhere on the lake from there. We thoroughly enjoyed or week at Villa La Ruga and meeting Francesco. He made the experience truly remarkable. Thank you Francesco! Your Villa and country are beautiful!

I can go on and on about how much we loved this house, it was pure perfection. The house itself is extremely spacious, but full of charm. (Pictures do NO justice to how incredible this villa is) The outside area is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. We had a group of 7 people stay here with PLENTY of room for all of us. It's comfortable, quiet and blissful. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer. The owner, Francesco, handled every detail from a private van to and from the train station, recommendations for activities and helped with reservations for dinner and a boat. He had printed lists on how to work things around the house and menus for local restaurants. We are already planning a trip to come back. It is the perfect home for family vacations or a romantic getaway.

Superb property. The outdoor area is even more beautiful than the picture. We had four couples staying at the property which worked fine for us. If everyone wants their own bathroom then go with three couples. The inside had lots of room, enough to accommodate 8 of us without an issue. I can't say enough about Francesco (the owner). He was easy to get a hold of and he responded to all of my inquiries quickly. He was able to get us drivers from where we were staying in Lugano to the house and then to the train station in Como with no problems. I would highly recommend this property. You won't regret your decision.

I booked the villa many months ahead of our visit but from the outset Francesco was in communication to ensure he was able to assist with our requirements. Just as helpful when we actually arrived and a host who truly understands the benefits of superlative customer service and going the extra mile. Beautiful fruits and cereals and Prosecco left for us on our arrival. However, I have called this review Cheshire Cat because when we walked through the front door of the Villa and saw the view through the windows, we could not wipe the smile off our faces. It is one of the most stunning locations I have stayed at and I will definitely return with my family. Easy walk into the town for restaurants but just as enjoyable to cook at home and soak in the views. Truly wonderful.

Location location! Words cannot describe the beauty of this Villa. A more accommodating host you will never find. Sitting on that terrace overhanging the lake watching the boats pass into the sunset is Magic. We were 6 adults and there was more than enough space for everyone to do their own thing. Very close to all transport but I will definitely recommend having a car to get provisions if you are doing self catering for many people.

This was our second time in 2 years staying at Villa La Ruga. It was the same as our last visit - totally perfect!! Francesco, the owner, is charming and amazingly helpful - booking restaurants, organizing wakeboarding, nothing is too much trouble. The Villa is stunning and being able to dive into the lake literally from the garden is fantastic. Even better this year, the Villa has it's own boat which we rented and used to tour around the lake - we hardly used our car at all!! If you want to go to Lake Como, and you haven't booked Villa La Ruga, you should do that right now.
