“Stunning views, good location for relaxing & ferries.”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2017

We stayed here for a few days, it is a great little location to relax. It has a nice garden area, and small beach area which over looks the lake, with stunning sunsets in the evening. It is in a few minutes walk to the ferry port which you can be in Como within an hour and Bellagio in 1.5 hours which is a fab way to see the lake. There is a bar and small supermarket and a couple of restaurants within walking distance, or more options if you want to get the ferry/bus to nearby villages in the evening. Eric & Jennifer were both very friendly and helpful and very easily contactable if there were any issues or just wanted any info. They recommended and booked a superb restaurant in Torno which we eat at. The accommodation is clean and good (maybe a little basic if planing to do a lot of self catering), we initially didn't have a kettle but this was immediately resolved as soon as we mentioned it. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Response from the manager Thank you for your kind review. Your feedback is very important to us. We look forward to your return. Ciao from Como! Eric, Robin and Jennifer

“Fantastic lakeside holiday”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2017

Team Eric make this beautiful holiday location into something really really special. Eric and his family cannot do enough for you. The villas are well looked after and have a stunning view of Lake Como. The small beach is great for sunning and swimming. You are literally 20 yards from the water and can hear it lapping on the shore of a night. You can easily reach Bellagio or Como by ferry. Milan is a short bus and train ride away and well worth the visit. Two bars in the village and two restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to others Tips: Don't hire a car use buses or ferries. Arrange car transfer from airport. Cycles or boats Eric will arrange hire if needed Take ferry to Torno and try Albergo restaurant. Excellent indeed. Chillax big time!

Response from the manager Ciao Graham, Thank you so very much for your lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to having you back again soon. Ciao from Como! Eric, Robin and Jennifer

“Very nice property with gorgeous views”

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Como Beach Resorts. Eric, Mohammed and Sylvia were wonderful hosts. The rooms have absolutely stunning views and the beds were very comfortable. A great value! The property is close to the ferry stop and a short walk to the market and coffee shop. It is also next door to the all suites Villa Lario which is worth walking around the property and enjoying a wonderful meal. For the adventurous you can hike all the way to the top to a ridgeline trail. Absolutely gorgeous and a fun way to see the local neighborhood. Como and Bellagio are easy to get to via bus or ferry. Schedules are very hard to read so be sure to check in with someone at the property before you venture off.

Response from the manager Thank you very much for your very kind and thoughtful review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to your return. Ciao from Lake Como! Eric, Robin, Jiselle and Mohammed

“We loved our stay at Lake Como Beach Resort!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2015

We loved our stay at Lake Como Beach Resort! From the fantastic personal service to the magic views of the lake, amazing food, friendly locals and glorious weather, we couldn't complain. Eric was so accomodating, making many arrangements for us including our transfer from the train station to the resort after a long day of travel. Being greeted by the super delightful Sylvia felt like we were staying with family, she has many great recommendations for eating out etc and regularly checked if we needed anything. The resort was charming and homely. Room was clean, tidy and well equipped. Wifi was great! It was very hot during our stay but if you follow the guides to using shutters and a well placed fan, its manageable. A dip in the lake also helps, which you can do right from the private jetty! We loved going to the local grocer for supplies, again such a welcoming friendly experience. Public transport to and from the resort was easy. We preferred the airconditioned buses but the ferries were also good. Hiring a boat and driving to other locations is a must! It's a great way to spend a day and see the lake. Shopping in Bellagio was our favourite spot but Como was good also. We were sad to leave our home away from home but hope to return to Lake Como Beach Resort again for our 2 year anniversary. Thanks Eric, Robin, Jiselle, Sylvia and Muhammad for making our honeymoon so great!

Response from the manager Ciao Erica, We are so very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and that you had a wonderful Honeymoon at our private little resort. It was a pleasure to have met you both. We wanted to thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your very kind review. We look forward to having you back again in the future. Ciao from Como! Eric, Robin, Sylvia, Jiselle and Mohammed

“The Owners make this Location a Go to Spot”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

Staying in Pognana Lario on Lake Como is breathtaking. This trip we chose an efficiency style accom. Although it is a Loooong way down to the locale we enjoyed our stay for the personalized attention we received by the owner. He not only helped us daily, he went out of his way when we had a medical emergency after leaving his property--I do not know of anyone who has helped us like that, ever--thank you Eric.

Response from the manager Thank you Joan for your lovely review. Our guests happiness and well being is of utmost importance to us. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciate having wonderful guests such as yourselves. We look forward to having you back again in the future. Thank you again. “Lake Como Beach Resort”

My wife and I chose Lcbr for our 40th wedding anniversary holiday using reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. Once you turn into the steep drive down to the lift you enter a peaceful, relaxed oasis. We were met and our luggage carried down to our room and during the week Eric was always on hand to give helpful advice. Eric took a real interest in what we were doing and nothing was too much trouble, he really did add to our holiday experience. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Though we had a car we didn't really use it, we tended to jump on the ferries and buses to explore the towns along the lake. After a day out exploring it was just lovely to come back and prepare a meal and eat alfresco and sit enjoying the sunset on the jetty with a glass of wine. Our room has everything you needed and our bedroom which looked out over the lake provided stunning views. The small number of guests, some with families were like minded people and everyone got on famously. All in all a really relaxing place which made out anniversary and very special one. Thank Eric, Robina and Giselle.

“Just the place to unwind”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2013

If you're after nightlife this is not the place for you. However, if you want to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings this is the place to be! We had a wonderful week sunning ourselves, eating, drinking and meeting lovely people. We did not use the car for the entire time, preferring to take the ferry to both Como and Bellagio. All our culinary needs were purchased at the local shop, and meals out eaten at the local restaurant. Eric is a warm, friendly gentleman, as is Mohammed who helps Eric with the smooth running. Thank you for a lovely week.

“A most relaxing place.”

My wife and I recently stayed at the Lake Como Beach Resort for a week and had a relaxing and peaceful stay. the Resort is well positioned and for those who like to plunge in the Lake it has it's own private beach and pier. Eric could not have been a better host and he kindly pointed us in all the right directions with good advice for all sorts of things. The rooms were very well presented and clean. For those who like to sit and enjoy the view the Resort provides magnificent scenery. All in all a wonderful week.

“Home base for our honeymoon”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2013

My wife and I knew we wanted to stay at Lake Como for our honeymoon, but we weren't exactly sure where. Luckily, she found the Lake Como Beach Resort and the trip was wonderful. Eric could not have been a more helpful and friendly host. He was always just a phone call away if we had a question or needed something. His advice most definitely made our stay easier and more relaxing. I have to give him major credit. Our villetta was well kept and had a wonderful view out toward the lake, which you could see from the bed and was amazing to wake up to. There is a lawn area to sit and relax and even some sand up against the lake if you're in a beach mood. The lake was a bit cold for a dip in May (at least for us), but that didn't stop an australian couple who did it anyway! My wife was a huge fan of visiting the grocery in Pognana Lario to pick up meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, and wine. That was our go-to place for snacks. They also had some great fresh pesto, which we ate with some pasta for dinner one night. Honestly, it was a great place to stay and served us well as a hub for visiting the various towns around the lake. The public transport was easy to use, but be aware that the hours of operation were a bit limiting. I think my one piece of advice would be to rent a car. That way you can operate on your own schedule. I would definitely suggest staying at the Lake Como Beach Resort. With all the help from Eric, it's simple and relaxing. Hopefully we'll make it back there ourselves.
