looking at the pictures during the booking process, we really didn't believe that it could be better in real life. On arriving, our breath was completely taken away. The views over the terraced lawns, cascading down to the lake were mind blowingly beautiful. The private beach at the bottom could not have been more perfect for us, as we had towed our 6m RIB from the UK. It was brilliant just being able to hop on it whenever, and whiz off to the islands, go as far afield as Ascona in Switzerland, or water ski/wake board. It may be worth your guests hiring a boat? Whether it was boat trips, lazy afternoons, walks on the mountains. or a walk to Laveno, it was perfection. Evenings were exceptional, looking our onto the setting sun with the mountains fading into the distance, I will never forget them. Desiree greeted us, and was unbelievably helpful throughout our stay, answering all our varied questions with great efficiency and kindness. We want to spend all our holidays at this wonderful place. This Villa has truly outstanding 360 degrees views of Lake Maggiore and surrounding Mountains. Situated on the outskirts of the pretty town , about 10-15 mins casual stroll to nearest restaurants. Best to look at the photos to get the full stunning vista. Villa is very well Kitted out (Bathrooms are a bit dated ) we were all very comfortable and villa very clean . We would definately return to Lake Maggiore and this villa would be top of our return to list . Rental agent Hidden Italy were excellent and local rental lady Desire very helpful. Under 1 hour to Milan Malpensa Airport .

If you are considering booking this villa- just do it!! Truly beautiful, elegant lodging. Grounds and views were gorgeous. We appreciated having the first night meal supplied and it was quite tasty. It was easy to walk into the charming town and to the ferries. We enjoyed the dearth of American / British tourists in the region- it was a very authentic experience for our family.

This upscale villa is all one may expect. It was a great fit for our family of 8 adults, and 3 children. We feared that the unheated pool would be too cold to swim in early June, but it was warm enough to stay in for hours. Kitchen and bath facilities were great (only a very minor lack was there was no toaster - very important for American breakfasts!). Walking distance to restaurants, COOP and ferries to Intra, Isole Borromeo and Stresa was easy, even for children. Il Nido restaurant and the Funivia Monbello were outstanding local attractions. The small town environment was wonderful compared to the huge tourist almost downtown atmosphere of Intra and Stresa. Our 2 seniors with disability coped very well by driving downtown. Plenty of parking space helped.

The house is situated fantastic at the shores of the lake with the park leading all the way to the lake (great swimming). The house is big and spacious, and the pool was perfect for the kids (big and deep). The bathrooms were, however, a little outdated. The service were excellent - remember to ask alberto to arrange on site dinners. The food is delicious.

Direct access to the lake; great views; and within walking distance of the village, make this house a perfect getaway for a week.

perfect location. 15 mins walk into the village, although it is uphill on the way back! Villa is beautiful with a well equipped kitchen. Gardens and grounds are stunning and the pool is clean and well kept. A fabulous holiday was had by all.
