This is by far the best place we have ever rented. Spacious and quiet place, exactly as pictured. We will always remember our excitement when we first entered the lodge and recall the great talks and day reflections we had a the large dining table whilst looking over the mountains, or relaxing in the sauna. The base is build in a quiet area. Nevertheless only at 7 minutes from the main road (B320), supermarket at less then 10min, Schladming center at less than 15min. Close to all skistations of the 4-Berge-Schaukel: Hauser Kaibling (20min), Planai (10min), Hochwurzen (20min), Reiteralm (7min).

We stayed at Ferdi Mountainbase for a week in mid Feb. My family of 9: 4 couples + 1 toddler, 3 generations in total:) enjoyed the stay a lot, and our primary focus was on skiing. The house is set in a beautiful location, just a 10-minute drive to Reiteralm ski lift, or 15-min to Planai in Schladming. If you're a cross-country skier (like my Dad) you can walk a 100m to the nearest ski track and from there you can explore the wonderful Ramsau tracks. The house is very comfortable, exactly as stated at the website, very spacious and well-deisgned. We had a wonderful get-together time in the living room, with a cosy fireplace and a beautiful view outside the windows. On a warmer day (11'C, full sun) we spent some time on the terrace and we loved it! The owners are very responsive and supportive. The caution we paid was sent back immediately after it was confirmed we did not damage anything in the house, so no worries about it. All in all - totally worth to rent!

Met een groep van 9 mannen is het echt zoeken als je een ideale uitvalsbasis wil hebben. Dit vonden wij in Pichl. Het huis was net opgeleverd en van alle gemakken voorzien. Na het skiën en voor de après-ski even in de sauna; een verademing. Het uitzicht van het huis is adembenemend en daartoe wordt alle gelegenheid geboden, omdat het huis NIET is voorzien van gordijnen. Het is absoluut aan te raden om eigen vervoermiddel te hebben, want dan kan de actieradius van het gehele skigebied bestreken worden. Winkels zijn richting Schladming te vinden aan de hoofdweg.

We stayed at the mountain base for 4 days and it was even better than we expected. Everything is brand new and the equipment did not leave anything to be desired! The surrounding is just stunning. We were very lucky with the weather and had perfect snow conditions, which made the landscape around even more beautiful. If you like cross-country skiing this place is just perfect, as it is just a few meters from cross-country ski trail. If you would like to get away from all, spend some time in nature at daytime and in the evening relax in front of an cosy fireplace, the mountain base is just perfect! The owners (Edwin and Effie) are very nice and helpful People. They always responded to our mails and questions quickly and reliably. We had a wonderful time at the mounatin base and we will definately stay there again next time!

A group of friends and I booked Ferdi Mountain Base for the New Year break and although the snow was lacking this season, it was one of the best trips yet! The location is brilliant to just get away from it all, there are tons of MTB tracks, Hiking trails, X country skiing (if weather allows) plus a massive ski area all part of Ski Amade region just a short drive away. The house itself has been designed to perfection. Its incredible. There is so much outdoor space, you aren’t really sure what to do with it all. A huge yoga room with a view to die for. There are 3 double rooms downstairs and then upstairs a massive living/dining and kitchen area with a beautiful fireplace. The owners are super nice and really responsive if there are any queries. We couldn’t fault it and would stay there again in an instant. We are already talking about doing it again for the end of the season! I just hope it doesn’t get too popular as we want to use it much more often!

This brand new , modern-designed vacation home offers all that one could hope for in brief or extended stay in the mountains. There is plenty of open-plan space to hang out in with a drop-dead view of the Austrian panorama. The proximity to Dachstein (downhill) and the Lopie (cross-country) makes its position ideal for all kinds of skiing. We can strongly recommend this place!

This brand new and stunningly designed mountain home is the perfect base from which to explore this fabulous area with all its array of outdoor activities. Back from a day out the enormous double sided fireplace and full panorama make it a wonderful place to chill out and just enjoy. Edwin and Effie, the owners, are delightful and were super helpful in giving us tips of what to do in the area. We hiked, ran in the mountains, climbed (check out 'Via Ferrata') and visited the glacier. At this time of year Ramsau is the training epicentre for the national ski teams and it became a daily routine to see some of the world's best athletes passing our front door during our stay. It was fantastic and we will definitely be going back, next time during the ski season.
