Beautiful old style villa in a peaceful area, far enough from tourist hasle, but close enough to all lake Como highlights. Car is a must. Lovely hosts Laurence and Francesco are villa neighbors and available for any assistance.

À qques minutes du centre de Côme, à l'écart du bruit et en pleine nature, un merveilleux gîte, très spacieux, d'une propreté irréprochable, avec tout le confort moderne. Un immense jardin, des endroits ombragés, tout ce qu'il faut pour être heureux. L'hôtesse, Laurence, est d'une incroyable gentillesse, attentive à vos besoins et pleine d'idées d'activités. Bref, on se sent accueillis comme l'enfant prodigue J'y retournerai sans aucun doute et je recommande 1000 Fois!

Les chambres d'hôtes de Laurence et Francesco sont situées dans une ancienne demeure pleine de charme sur les collines de Come. Elles ont été conçues avec goût, on s'y sent "chez soi" tout en bénéficiant de toute l'intimité voulue. la cour ombragée et fleurie ainsi que le jardin qui s'étend à l'arrière sont des havres de paix pour lire un bouquin et flâner! Les sorties dans les bois sont à un jet de pierre de la propriété. La maison est à 10' en voiture du centre de Come et de son lac où toutes les activités touristiques sont à portée de main: balade sur le lac et visite de ses îles, découvertes des magnifiques villas qui la bordent, sports nautiques, promenade dans la ville, shopping, pause sur les terrasses au soleil, etc. En 45', vous êtes à Milan pour y passer une journée ! Bref, un endroit superbement situé pour un long WE de "Dolce vita"!
La douceur de vivre, la beauté du paysage loin du stress de la ville si belle a decouvrir, on se croirait au paradis .
This place is just wonderful... we just thought we were at home. Everything was perfect : nice location, beautiful rooms and a wonderful garden... just so quite ! Very close to the lake and Como, so much nice places to visit. If we have again an opportunity we certainly will return at Villa Sassi.

We spent a relaxing week at Villa Sassi, it is away from the bustle of Como, but is near enough to enjoy the lake. The family Saldarini are so welcoming. The Villa and garden are delightful. Thank you so much, and the jam was lovely.

We, couple with two kids (3 & 7 yrs), spend a few days in Villa Sassi on our way to Tuscany. We really enjoyed the villa and Como district. As from the booking one could tell the family has a good standard of hospitality. Quick and clear answers via mail. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Laurence, the lady of the house, with a tour through the villa and a clear explanation about rules and regulations. The villa has two big bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Everything was clean and the rooms were romantically decorated. We loved the original (17th century?) fresco's. Big avantage is the constant supply of hot water so one isnt surprised by cold water when you are third in row Also the mosquito nets in the windows were great! The garden is a lovely and peaceful place to have breakfast and read books. Lots of space for children to run around and play.
