WATERFRONT - PRIVATE BEACH - Villa Panoramica -

We spent a week at the Lake Como Beach Resort. It was a very relaxing time.The service was great. Eric the owner made us feel very welcome, Everything you needed was supplied in the villa. The beds are especially comfortable after Italys' usually very hard mattresses. If there was anything we needed Eric was available at the end of the phone. He even took us to the post office to help us send a parcel back to australia, our Italian was piccolo. We would definately recommend a stay here. Our weather was'nt the best in early October, but we still had a great time. Some lovely restaurants to try and the ferry is 5 mins walk allowing you to visit all the surrounding towns on the lake. Would be even more special in sunny weather. Hello to Eric and family. The local people were very kind and made sure we were looked after. Made some lovely friends here.

The service we received during our stay was perfect. A fine balance between attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation was very comfortable and perfect for self catering with provisions from the local store and markets. The location was slightly removed from the bustle of Como central (our choice) yet the local transport was cheap and very reliable for the excursions we chose to take. Our best memories are of the peace and tranquillity of the resort and the friendliness of the locals. The most significant improvement we could think of was the addition of a self service laundry.

Best place in the world to go ...Eric the owner is great the location is perfect Lake Como is beautiful and easy to navigate either by boat,bus or ferry everything is right there and the town of Pognano is peaceful ,beautiful and the people are so friendly and helpful!. Rent a boat it will be the best experience of the lake ever!

Our vacation at villa Panoramica was outstanding. The villetta is well named as the views from upper and lower balcony are breathtaking.You will find the owners Eric and Robin are so welcoming and helpful. Eric was there daily to answer any questions and just to help make our vacation perfect.There are many good restaurants nearby and an excellent little grocery/butcher shop at the top . Lake Como Beach Resort has its own elevator to bring you down to their waterfront location and another elevator is in the process of being built. My husband walks with a cane but was still able to manage the trip down to our villetta. One of the very special perks for this place is that you can go anywhere on this beautiful lake by ferry. A short walk down the little road along the lakeside brings you to the ferry terminal. The weather in September was fantastic, allowing lots of swims in the lake. Hopefully we will be able to return to this beautiful location. The owners Eric and Robin, certainly helped to make this a perfect vacation spot.

The Como area would have to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet and Lake Como Beach Resort is a great place to stay whilst there. Our villa had everything we needed and one of the most important things to us was the beautiful comfy bed which was a blessing after a day of sight-seeing. Eric was a wonderful host and helped us out immensely when we needed it. Thanks Eric for being such an accommodating host and giving us all the information that we needed to have a great few days. The only thing I regret is that we couldn't stay longer. If we go back we'd surely love to stay at Lake Como Beach Resort.

Everything worked very well at the Lake Como Beach Resort, Eric gave excellent service, he is a good man. The apartment was very good, the experience having different families sharing the garden and the beach was good, we will repeat some time in the future, lake and hills were excellent combination. definitely we recommend!!

Stayed here in august, extremely picturesque and relaxed setting, well run with helpful staff and managers, especially suited to couples as very romantic setting

Eric and Robin were wonderful! Helpful in every way possible. We feel that we gained a friendship rather than just meeting the owners. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. 5 minute walk to ferry dock was very convenient for visiting lakeside villages. Highlight for me was swimming in the Lake in the daily, a 10 second walk from our villetta. Small market nearby with a very friendly and helpful butcher. Loved it!

Our Holiday was short but very good. The service was perfect. It's also a perfect location when you have a boat. Very nice appartements an cossy.

For a waterfront experience of Lake Como that is reasonably priced, I can't imagine it getting better than this. My partner and I stayed for a week over summer and we would not hesitate to come back. A word of warning to start, the 15/20 mins drive from Como (the town) is a little hair-raising for those unaccustomed to driving on the narrow lake roads. Then the very steep and winding driveway down to the car park and the small elevator off the cliff face will further test your resolve. But just when you think your nerves can't handle any more, the serenity and beauty of the lake overwhelms you and any stress you had getting to the villa quickly dissipates. Eric is just about the friendliest guy you will ever meet - gives you his undivided attention when you see him and always helpful with a suggestion or recommendation. He made our time there feel as if we were staying with friends. The villas are furnished nicely and whilst it's not the Ritz, it has everything that you need for a great stay. The resort has a bit of a community feel about it as all villas open out on to a central square and decking, so chatting with other guests and comparing holiday stories is always interesting. What really makes this place special is it's location on the water and stunning views. With direct access to the lake, swimming and sun bathing by the lake is probably all the you will want to do, and it's made better by not being over crowded with tourists like some other towns on the lake. I would recommend shopping at the local grocery store (pretty good for the main staples) and cooking meals to enjoy on your balcony over looking the lake or in one of the communal areas on the lake. Food tastes better when it's being eaten with views like this! I would also recommend Restaurant Bella Vista in Veleso and Villa Melzi (gardens) in Bellagio.
