Description
Chalet Marie Stuart is nestled in a quiet hamlet only 1km from the pretty village centre of Samoens. It is a fantastic warm and comfortable home base for a multitude of activities throughout the year and with 6 bedrooms ideal for families and larger groups. The zip-link super king beds can all be split into singles as required.
In the warmer months there are miles of mountain or flat cycle tracks, or easy to expert hiking trails. Whatever fitness level you're at, there's an activity to suit you.
Chalet Marie Stuart is owner operated by myself, a qualified chef with 16 years experience in the hospitality & chalet industry. Although open all year round, it offers self-catering only during May to October.
This lovely, traditional Savoyard chalet is built on three levels.
Salon - The warm, comfy and spacious sitting/dining room has an impressive log burning fire.
Sitting room - A smaller separate sitting room can be used for reading, cards, watching TV/satellite, a video, a DVD, or just relaxing.
Balcony - French windows lead on to a generous balcony stretching round most of the building and from here you can enjoy magnificent views of the Giffre Valley and surrounding mountains.
Bedrooms - The en suite bedrooms are equipped with super king size beds, which can be split into twins. Two of the rooms can take a (comfortable) third bed. However, the maximum capacity for dining is 12 adults. A cot can be supplied for very young children sharing their parents' room.
Games and exercise room - This is on the ground floor and is an ideal place for you to get fit or for your children to play. Books, games, CDs, DVDs and videos are available for you to use throughout your holiday.
Sauna suite - This is equipped with a shower and WC and offers a great chance to refresh and relax.
A drying room is available on the ground floor.
Kitchen - This is fully equipped with 2 ovens & microwaves, 5 ring GAS hob, a fridge freezer and all the usual utensils you would find in a busy, hard working kitchen.
Outside - In the warmer months there is a five and a half metre circular pool, ideal for cooling off or playing with the children. The large flat garden is great for a kick-around or badminton.
The balcony wraps round most of the chalet and there is a wide terrace at the back which is ideal for BBQs, sunbathing & all your outdoor dining needs. Tables & chairs (18 people), sun loungers, parasols and a BBQ are all readily available for your use.
Off street flat parking for up to 6 cars.
